Once more, with feeling: Our No-Foil Stanley Cup Replica contest ends on the 'morrow. Since we've got a Game 7, we'll shift the deadline to 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday night.

The prizes and the contest minutia can be found in the initial post; if you missed it earlier this week, we've added Blu-Ray copies of "Miracle" to each of the winning prize packages. Send all entries to puckdaddyblog@yahoo.com.

We'll toss up our final gallery, with winners, next week. Thanks to all who have entered and who will enter; unlike some of our Photoshop experiments in the past, this is definitely a quality over quantity venture.

In case you needed to know where the bar's been set heading into the homestretch: Puck Buddy Anna A. made the Stanley Cup out of meat.

"I call it the Hamley Cup," she writes. "This was pretty disgusting. Not sure when I will be able to eat ham again." Bacon, on the other hand ...

ENTIRE OTHER THREE LINES (except for Z) = $16 million for 40 G, 45A , +85

The government of Quebec has offered a 100 Million Dollar loan to the Quebec Company that purchases the Canadien..Apparently they want to keep the Francophone heritage of the team intact..

Oh, Making Stanley Cups out of food..Total Fail..If we are that sensitive about certain forms of governmrnt , We should just as easily be sensitive to the Starvation around the World. Millions die from that also!!

Wings are in trouble boys. I am not expecting a Red Wing win Friday nite. I can't imagine anyone is.
The league thinks it needs a Crosby Cup and they are going to get it....
If they win it great...Awesome! I'm just real turned off at the travesty that use to be called playoff hockey.
Bring back the regular season. The NHL playoffs, the officiating, the no-calls, the off sides that lead to goals, NBC, and most of all Gary Bettman are making me puke
Do it to us quickly NHL because Friday night, I've got beer to drink.

It is so obvious that the league does not want Detroit to win. They hate the fact that the European players the Red Wings have acquired are dominating the game They are letting Sidney Crosby & the Pittsville Penguins play tackle hockey and they still have a hard time beating the Red Wings. Game 6 was the most lopsided game in any sport as far as enforcing the "rules". I like the way they let the players play but, they need to let both teams play the same way. If they aren't going to call slashing, hooking, tripping, crosschecking etc on Sid & the Pens.
They should not call it on the Red Wings. Despite this plan / scheme by the league to get this series to 7 games & give Sid & the Pens a chance to win the Cup for Gatorade, NBC the NHL & Canada and all the other sponsors that use Sid as their poster child, the Red Wings have been in 2 of 3 games they lost.
Frustrated with the lack of comments on this issue.
GO DETROIT RED WINGS bring the cup home to HOCKEYTOWN again

There has been comments on this issue #14!!
Either A: Refs are 100% Detroit B: Refs are 100% Pitt or C: Both teams hack, slash bite, claw, fight, hustle for everything SO LET THEM PLAY FOR THE CUP. I have to say Cleary got jobbed on the no slash arm hack while he was breaking in. Should have been a penalty on the Pens for the last buck and a half of the game.

Seriously, why in the hell are people whining about inane conspiracy theories in a post about a contest? Lets think about this logically, if there was a conspiracy, at least one of the Wings would have to be in on it. If so, the most logical one would be Osgood, but he has played spectacularly, I don't think that would be the case if he were on the take. Bettman, the refs, whoever else in your warped little minds is in on it, can only do so much. They can't score goals or stop Detroit shots. Only Pittsburgh themselves can do that. All you do by whining about the zebras is make yourselves look like jackasses, along with Pittsburgh fans who do the same thing. Just be glad you have had such an epic Final, and here's to what's hopefully an epic Game 7.

Miracle was a horrible movie. Such a great story in reality, but somehow Disney found a way to mess it up. Its like reverse Anaheim. There was not a single good scene of hockey in that movie. All skates and snow. Lame.
