Jersey Fouls is our ongoing exploration of the rules and etiquette for proper hockey jersey creation and exhibition. If you spot what you think may be a foul in your arena, e-mail a photo to us at puckdaddyblog@yahoo.com for inclusion in future installments.

Swear to dog, this Minnesota Wild fan has bigger issues than dyslexia if he spent money to personalize this "Dislexic" jersey. From Puck Buddy Jason P.:

Probably the worst jersey I have ever seen... and probably the worst picture quality, but I used my cell to sneak it as I didn't even want to pretend I liked it to get him to pose.  I'm sorry to say he's a Wild season ticket holder.

Worst he's ever seen? Somewhere, Maklin Girl weeps ...

Coming up, more Sidney Crosby bashing from D.C., Philadelphia's last Lindros fan and did someone actually spend money on a reference to The Fixx?

Subtle. Here's the thing: Eric P. tells us that that this image was taken at Tuesday night's Washington Capitals game against the Philadelphia Flyers, which is two days after the defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins. Eric's quandary:

Pass or Fail? Should your Novelty Jersey be the only Jersey that you own or wear?

Assuming one has other jerseys in the closet, of course not; unless the aim here was to build bridges with Flyers fans over mutual admiration for Sid the Kid. If that's the case, then clearly Obama has changed the city in a very short time.

"Saved by Zero" is a song by The Fixx from 1983, which gained new life when it was used in Toyota commercials. From Puck Buddy Patrick H.:

I saw this jersey at a bar in downtown Nashville after the Preds-Penguins game this year.  I talked to him a bit and he drunkenly explained that he "likes that song."  Either way, this jersey is chock full of FAIL.  He didn't even get it right.... it should be "Saved By" not "Save By."  We'll just assume that Saved By is blocked by the NHL shop, right?

Or we can assume this man also has a 1983 Chevrolet Camaro.

Hey, who doesn't like a little education at the game, right? This New York Rangers jersey is quite informative, although plate tectonics promises this jersey could be obsolete in about 3,000 years.

Thanks to Eric from 5-Hole.com for this one. We eagerly await images of the "Oceans 5" and "House of Reps 435."

From Matthew L.:

Saw this at the Calgary Flames games last night.  I appreciate his distaste for spills, but is it really worth wearing this thing?

Color us baffled. Any ideas on this one? And can one of our readers snap a photo of the "Brind'Amour -29" jersey that has to be floating around Carolina somewhere?

Finally, what's the bigger foul: Keeping the flame alive for Eric Lindros as a Flyers fan, or doing so with a "Yurgin 88" jersey?

digg delicious

    The true question-
Have you ever laughed at a jersey name(Or number) because you thought it was witty or have you ever laughed at a bumper sticker? If the answer is yes to either one of these then you must be fun to hang with at a party. If the answer is yes to both then find the nearest bridge and...................

Shouldn't that Crosby Jersey have and X instead of 00 since "suck it" was D-X's thing?

The House of Reps may soon be 437 members, so you may want to hold off on that jersey.

I think that anyone who does more than put their own name on a jersey should have their A kicked. Some of these boneheads make gary bettman look intelligent. Way to improve the game gar. All of the old die-hard fans don't watch anymore because you can't find a game on tv to save your life (and ticket prices have almost doubled), and the new fans he's brought in are a bunch of frickin idiots.

As retarded as it is, I love the Save By 0 jersey. I'm a huge music fan and a huge hockey fan. Rarely do the two collide in such eloquent foolishness.

I saw a horrendous jersey foul on the subway home from last night's Flyers' game. A 20-something kid had on a #27 Flyers jersey. Good right? Nope. It was a new jersey, not the one Hextall wore. And the kid had it personalized with his first initial and last name. WTF??

I was under the impression that Lindros was still beloved by Philly fans because of all the Cups he helped them win.

All jerseys fail. Dyslexic would've passed, on sheer creativity (and admittance) alone, but he spelled it wrong.

I'll look for one at the 'Canes game tonight, but it may be hard with Buffalo in town; all of the arrests of Sabres fans might be a bit distracting.

In light of recent complaints, I'd expect a Pens or Caps Wyshynski jersey before a Devils one.

Whats wrong with laughing at bumper stickers?
    Top 3 i've seen:
"Nuke the whales for baby Jesus"
"My boss is an Austrian Painter"
The handicap wheel chair but with a lady stick figure in the male stick figure's lap facing him.

All of these sweaters...clearly the economy isn't as bad as feared.
I mean, if you're throwing out $150-$200 on one of these...things aren't so bad.
