If Marian Hossa has a Christmas tree, here's his ornament

Puck Daddy reader Dave from Lake Orion, MI writes:

"I was putting up my tree today in my new house and found this ornament that was given to me three years ago. I forgot about until now. Do you think Sidney Crosby would like it?"

No, sir, Sidney Crosby would not like it. But it appears your holiday ornament collection has eerily predicted Marian Hossa's free agency and inevitable signing with the Detroit Red Wings. Does the star on top of your tree depict an obscure Illinois senator taking the oath of office near the White House, too?

Or, perhaps, this ornament is a sign. We've seen the fan battles waged here on Puck Daddy between Wings supporters and the Pittsburgh Penguins faithful. Finding an ornament that blissfully marries the two franchises in seasonal joy can only mean that the 8 pounds, 6 ounces baby Jesus -- newborn, not even spoken a word yet - has called for a truce.

Anyone else have any hockey-related Christmas ornaments besides the usual logo balls?

    Anyone else have any hockey-related Christmas ornaments besides the usual logo balls?
    I have 3" Gretzky figure made by Haulmark if i remember correctly. my wife cringed though when i asked to put it on the tree.

    I have 5 hockey "greats" ornaments by Hallmark. One of which was signed by Gordie Howe. The 5 are Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Eric Lindros, Gordie Howe and Jaromir Jagr. They were made from 1997-2001

    Hahaha, I love it! I'm a die-hard Wings fan, but I actually had a soft spot for the Penguins up until last year. Always liked the name when I was a kid. Oh, and I've got an ornament of Ernie from Sesame Street on skates with a hockey stick. Parents got it for me like 20 years ago.

    Christmas candy cane in spirit of Finland's Olympic team in Vancouver... most of them will need somekind of cane to be able to walk by then

    good call on the "Hallmark" line.i wasnt to sure, my memory ain't what it used to be. I'm to use'd to spelling it Haulmark as in the enclosed trailor manufacturer.

    And when Santa saw the Lindros ornament limp in despare he took the Stevens ornament of the tree and roasted it with the chestnuts on the open fire.

    big dog get a sense of humor this is a great post have fun with it ok.just about all the posts have been great the turco post has to be the winner so far. every year the wings have new kinds of ornaments you can get all over michigan so its all good.
