It took a few views to figure out what was so special about this clip. It's only six seconds long. The penalty announcement on the soundtrack is distracting. There's no instant replay, which our sports television-addled brains simply do not compute. But watch No. 28 on the right-hand side of the video, and experience the awesome:

That would be Slovakian winger Richard Panik, a second-round pick for the Tampa Bay Lightning this year, who is absolutely killing it for the Windsor Spitfires in the Ontario Hockey League exhibition season. This goal, scored against the Sarnia Sting last week, was already being buzzed about in the hockey media. Seeing the nasty little exercise in reflexes makes you understand why.
