It's been a memorable season for Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews(notes). From winning a gold medal with Team Canada at the Vancouver Olympics and being voted Best Forward of the tournament to capturing the Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy last Wednesday night, things are pretty good in the life of Captain Serious.
Topping off his season is the apparent news that he'll be on the cover of "NHL 11" from EA Sports. A page featuring Toews was active on an "NHL 11" link over at the EA Sports site, not long ago but is now gone. But the wonderfulness that is the Internet, however, has captured the cover image featuring Toews in Chicago's alternate jersey via the good people at Operation Sports:

Interesting that they're going for two Blackhawks in a row, eh?
Normally EA Sports waits until midsummer to announce who'll be on the cover of the annual best-selling game, but this apparent slip-up must have coincided with the beginning of E3, the annual convention that previews the year's top gaming releases.
What EA did officially release Monday was the trailer for "NHL 11" that promises not only refined game physics, but also user-controlled goal celebrations, disallowed goals (interesting), and a new faceoff engine:
