After Ryan Getzlaf(notes) opened the scoring for the Anaheim Ducks, Zetterberg led a furious Red Wings rally. He did all the heavy lifting on Dan Cleary's game-tying goal and perfectly set up Pavel Datsyuk's(notes) go-head tally on the power play later in the first. He then scored what would be the game-winner in the second period on a power-play slap shot from the slot. Detroit wins 5-2 over Anaheim.

Corvo played 22:29 and put the game away with a pair of 5-on-3 power-play tallies in the third, as the Hurricanes won for the first time at home this month, 4-1 over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Corvo now has eight power-play goals on the season, topping his total from last year between Ottawa and Carolina.

Johan Franzen (25) and Bobby Ryan(notes) (20) added to impressive goal totals in the Ducks/Wings game. ... Gary Bettman tells Raleigh that it'll host an all-star game, but doesn't say when.
Did You Know?: The Avalanche are 18-0-0 when they lead after two periods. Which also means they've only had a lead after two periods in 18 of 59 games.
Dishonorable Mention: The Avs claim they weren't motivated by Jose Theodore's(notes) candid comments before the game. Uh-huh. ... Chris Pronger(notes) was roundly booed by the Detroit fans when it was announced that Wings were honoring him for playing his 1,000th game. (This isn't listed here because of those fans, but because this is usually where the Pronger news is found.) ... Finally, when Steve Downie(notes) and Tim Conboy(notes) fight, we all win:
