Hockey jerseys are a lot of things, but soft and snuggly aren't two of them. Which is why, in theory, someone would seek out an NHL sweater recreated with the artificially colored fur of dead rabbits. The other explanation being that they're members of the Fudd family.
Oliver Furs of Montreal offers a combination deal of a "top quality knitted Rex rabbit fur hat/tuque and sweater for hockey fans," and for both men and women. Like this beauty here for the Montreal Canadiens that is currently going for $395 (plus hat!) on eBay.
Oliver Furs can create these rabbit fur jerseys for any NHL team. This naturally makes us wonder whether every NHL locker room that hands out a hard hat or some other item, to represent the hardest-working player in a game, should invest in one of these fur jerseys for the softy who refuses to fight in the corners.
In the end, the notion of a replica jersey made of rabbit fur could be the single craziest development in NHL fashion since the $325 Swarovski crystals purse. This is, like, crazier than finding out that some random player like James Wisniewski of the Chicago Blackhawks has his own clothing line. Wait ... what?!
No matter what you think of these jerseys, just remember the motto, people: "At Oliver Furs, every day is a Celebration of Fur!"
