A reunion is continuing in Denver where a day after luring Peter Forsberg back, the Colorado Avalanche have re-acquired veteran defenseman Adam Foote, who won two Cups (1996 and 2001) with Colorado before moving on to Columbus.

Foote, 36, is due to be an unrestricted free agent in the summer, so this appears to be a rental situation. The Blue Jackets were in negotiations with their captain, but decided in the end to trade him. Foote was averaging 24:02 of ice time with the Blue Jackets. He brings depth and playoff grit to the Avalanche.
