Coach Tom Cable addressed the issue of "explosive" plays after the Raiders' upset win over Cincinnati in Week 11.

More specifically, those offensive snaps by an opponent which gained 11 or more yards per rush and 16 or more yards per pass.

The Raiders spent their abbreviated week working on it, then went out and watched the Dallas Cowboys detonate on their defense.

On the Raiders' first Thanksgiving Day game in 39 years, the Cowboys rolled to a 24-7 win, gaining 494 yards. A staggering 384 yards came on 10 snaps—plays of 20 or more yards which went beyond Cable's definition of "explosive" and left the Raiders feeling burned.

It's been a problem through a 3-8 season, never more so than against Dallas.
