Most of the Dolphins news during OTAs came from owner Stephen M. Ross, who is trying to lure fans away from their 52-inch screen hi-definition TVs to come to newly named Land Shark Stadium by bringing in South Florida entertainment icons Jimmy Buffett and Gloria Estefan into the fold.

On the field, the reigning AFC East champion Dolphins looked crisper, more disciplined and far more confident than a year ago when they were coming off a 1-15 debacle. Singer Gloria Estefan and her husband, producer Emilio Estefan, are bringing the Miami Sound Machine to the Miami Dolphins. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross announced at a news conference Thursday that the Estefans are joining the NFL franchise as minority owners. Gloria Estefan says she is a "hard core" sports fan and is happy to be a part of her hometown team.
