Three months of conditioning workouts, 11 organized team activity sessions and five minicamp practices later, the Bengals feel like they are in better shape.

"I think we've had a really good offseason of work on the field. The 1,000 snaps gives us an opportunity to get through some things on defense and offense," said coach Marvin Lewis after the final practice, which was held at Paul Brown Stadium. "Our team has worked hard to be in shape and play football. The key now is to be in the best conditioned shape going into camp. The will be the first time in a long time we have the chance to go to camp healthy."

The minicamp practices continued a theme of the offseason on-field work - the receivers standing out.

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed sixth-round draft pick Bernard Scott and waived four players at the conclusion of their minicamp. The Bengals have three of their 11 draft picks under contract after signing the running back from Abilene Christian on Saturday. Sixth-round cornerback Morgan Trent and seventh-round receiver Freddie Brown also have signed.

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed their first player from this year's college draft, defensive back Morgan Trent of Michigan. The cornerback was the first of the club's two sixth-round selections, and the first of the Bengals' 11 picks overall to sign. The three-year starter at Michigan played in 48 games and had seven interceptions.
