I hope those twisters today steared clear of your neighborhood Mr. Bobby
Richard, I'm sorry you're having difficulty finding us. Juno found it, perhaps he can explain it better than I. I'm off to Africa for a couple of weeks.
Henry, I had nothing to do with the song other than to enjoy it. Albeit, it does appear to be a "Bobby" song. :)
Did anyone find Incredibly and Bobby's webpage??? I was NOT successful either...Maybe if you guys start from Google and tell us how to get there click by click we can find it???
Oh you're all still here? What's been going on...
Always nice to see when a post doesnt show up. Very clever with connecting the DOTs on the COMputer. Im trying to do the same but didnt find it. Maybe now that I am on a computer I can try to go search for it as well. Its a lil tough speaking in code just to get a message across but should be worth it.
I do see the John Wayne, Cowboy...now I see why the nick name goes with you. I seen it myself from Mr. Whatever the way you took him under your wing. I truely said to myself "Wow, now thats a hero. I give him 110% respect and admiration for that!"
Bobby.....I looked up the song "honey" and listened to it. I noticed it was written by someone named Bobby and recorded by another Bobby. Any connection?
Richard, follow the capitalized letters to the website and then when you are inside "General Discussions," use the search bar there to locate Gentlemen's Ranker Club. You will immediately see Incredis' red cardinal. If you still have trouble, let me know.
I like getting gems. They're a gift that lets you choose. You can discard it and you've neither gained anything nor lost anything. You may also choose to pick it up, polish it and make it your own. Here's an example of a "Gem."
Today we celebrate the day of love. For many of us it means a trip to the store for candy, flowers and a card. If we're feeling romantic, we might even spring for dinner. With all this love going around, it may seem surprising that one of the most frequently asked questions people pose to me is, "Why am I not happy?" I usually ask them what they are doing to pursue happiness. Most tell me they took their family on a boating, camping or some other trip. "That sounds nice," I reply, "but those things are adventures that make you happy." I find that most haven't a clue how to pursue happiness.
When you wanted someone to love, you began dating and you didn't give up until you found someone with whom you wanted to share your time with. Soon that love grew and you were married and started a family. You wouldn't have found love if you hadn't pursued it. Happiness is found the same way. You see, love and happiness are things that you only find once you share them with others. I'll share with you one of the things I've done for many decades now that has brought me great happiness. On St. Valentine's day, I did the same things as many of you. I bought the candy, roses and the obligatory card that worded love much more eloquently than I ever wanted to. (I'm not into "mushy.") However, I also stopped by the bakery and picked up a couple dozen valentines decorated cookies. I gave Mrs. Bobby her things and on our way to dinner, stopped by the local Salvation Army center for the homeless. I give the cookies to the staff there with a note that simply reads, "These cookies are given to the staff here. Each day you feed the hungry, make beds for the weary and give hope to the hopeless. We are thankful for you and this Valentine's Day would like to acknowledge your contributions to others." That's it. I didn't stand around but left with a friendly wave and then took us out to dine.I'll never forget the first time I took Mrs. Bobby along (and later our children) during a "cookie" trip. That evening over dinner she kept looking at me and when I finally ask, "what?" She said, "I've never met a real hero before." My pursuit of happiness was successful. To know that she felt that way about me made me very....happy! Look around you and see where you can share happiness. The happiness is always returned, so you simply keep spreading it, just as you do love.
Take this gem, put it in your pocket and keep it until you decide to use it or discard it. Either way, it's yours! Happy Valentine's Day!

Gentlemen's Ranker Club
Couldn't find it Bobby, will need more info...
It worked! Gentlemen, if you follow us to the web site as capitalized below, you'll find that Incredis has already set up a page there entitled, "Gentlemen's Ranker Club." I love it! Thank you Incredis, you did good. Someone has already left a cool message there as they aren't sure what this new discussion is. Please join us there and register so that we can keep together should this page disappear. I would request that you check back here to help us not lose any former members that may be searching for us. I'm excited about the new forum and the prospect of having new voices join us. Let's face it guys, we love to talk about football and it's just more fun if there are others reading and sharing. We all joined this gentlemen's club to be social and we didn't know that yahoo was going to cut it off from their other pages.
I've decided to add a couple of comments each week next season during our picks. I'm calling one of them, "Off My Rocker," and the other, "Gems." The new forum has a special place for chatterboxes like me who wish to speak about other topics as well as football. This is an appropriate place to tell short stories, jokes and nonsensicle items. It's time to weed the flower beds and plant the berries so I'll talk to you guys later.
Incredis, thank you forr trying to get the message across. Incredis has set up another page for us to meet at should this one suddenly disappear. Yahoo has filters which seem to make giving you the site page impossible. I'm going to try it like this...wish me luck!
I had a friend at NFL who couldn't connect the DOTs on his COMputer. His FANTASY was to open a FORUM about GENERAL DISCUSSION.

Hello Bobby. I think I was able to setup an alternate meeting place as per the email you sent me. I will try to post partial link to navigate there on the following message and I hope Yahoo will allow it so that we do not all lose contact with each other. I believe we would all consider this page as our preferred meeting place but recent instabilities have caused us to seek backup plans. More to follow.
Now that the season is over, I'd like to share one of my favorite songs with you in loving memory of Mrs. Bobby....
HONEY
See the tree how big it's grown
But friend it hasn't been too long
It wasn't big
I laughed at her and she got mad
The first day that she planted it
Was just a twig
Then the first snow came and she
Went out to brush the snow away
So it wouldn't die
Came running in all excited
Slipped and almost hurt herself
I laughed till I cried
She was always young at heart
Kinda dumb and kinda smart
And I loved her so
And I surprised her with a puppy
Kept me up all Christmas Eve
Two years ago
And it would sure embarrass her
When I came in from workin' late
Cause I would know
That she'd been sittin' there and cryin'
Over some sad and silly late, late show
And Honey I love you
And I'm being good
And I'd love to be with you
If only I could
She wrecked the car and she was sad
And so afraid that I'd be mad
But what the heck
Though I pretended hard to be
Guess you could say she saw through me
And hugged my neck
I came home unexpectedly
And caught her cryin' needlessly
In the middle of the day
And it was in the early Spring
When flowers bloom and robins sing
She went away
One day when I wasn't home
And she was there and all alone
The angels came
Now all I have are memories of Honey
And I wake up nights and
Call her name
Now my life's an empty stage
where Honey lived and Honey played
And love grew up
A small cloud passes overhead
And cries down in the flowerbed
That Honey loved
And Honey I miss you
And I'm being good
And I love to be with you
If only I could
