The Minnesota Vikings and head coach Brad Childress are apparently working out a contract extension for him, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. The agreement will likely be realized sometime in the next few weeks.
This would explain why the agent for Childress, Bob LaMonte, was at the Vikings game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Unless he just wanted to see a good game, of course.
LaMonte reportedly met with owners Zygi Wilf and Mark Wilf and vice presidents Rick Spielman and Rob Brzezinski before the game for about five minutes on the field.
If that's the way these guys are handling negotiations, it's gonna take longer than the next couple of weeks to work out a deal.

has proven himself yet, i would wait until the season was over, to see
where the vikings are, like giving Dennis Green one, just because he went
15 and 1, and we had that joke for many more years to come, think! ziggy.

Stability is a beautiful thing and with it will come ups and downs. Childress needs to learn how to put the pedal to the floor and be aggressive in play calls. As good as we look right now at 6-0, we still are very vulnerable. Childress will have a decision to make come 2010 ... on whether to talk Favre into another season of go after McNabb (since he will be traded). maybe Jackson can learn something from Favre but that is a big gamble in itself. The North division is becoming a strong on with top caliber QB's and we could be left at the bottom of the pack unless Childress and co. can secure the position. Start with right now and take care of out secondary - it really sucks !

Chills has enough to play to win, just enough. None of this blow /em up and blow 'em out type mentality. The defense didn't survive very well vs Flacco & Co. Playoffs won't be as kind.
