NFL - Sports Rumors

He is nearly alone. But the isolation Adam Jones finds himself in is of his own doing. Previous transgressions have forced this night owl to become a homebody in rural Prosper, about 45 minutes away from the Cowboys' Valley Ranch complex and an hour from downtown Dallas' nightlife.

Jones, the Cowboys' cornerback/punt returner/kick returner/locker room antagonist, returns to the field today, when the Cowboys visit Cleveland in the regular-season opener. Because of an injury to Terence Newman, Jones will also start. The last time Jones played in an NFL game was Dec. 31, 2006, for the Tennessee Titans.

Before and after that game, Jones went everywhere with people who he now calls "knuckleheads."

When Jones played for the Titans, he lived 30 minutes outside of the nightlife of Nashville. In his hometown of Atlanta, Jones was just minutes away from the city and his crew. It is the crew — friends he grew up with, buddies he met while partying — who were with Jones when he got in trouble. Jones accepts responsibility for his troubles, but a yearlong league suspension is on his résumé, not his crew's.

Since coming into the NFL in 2005, Jones has been arrested six times and been involved in 12 incidents.

To get back in the NFL, Jones had to change.

great, here comes all the idiot racist douchebags... welcome to week one!
haters... accept it. this man is a massive talent who, like many before him, realizes that playing for the Dallas Cowboys is bigger than his past transgressions. he will be a MAJOR help on special teams, and suprise you with his coverage (it's been over a month since you watched TO burn him on hard knocks).
he will probably get nailed for one or two PI calls this week, as he struggles to regain his legs and use his upper body less in coverage, but he will eventually be an upper echelon corner again.

All teams have players with troubled pasts. He's not on trial. He's been cleared to play and he knows he's on a contender. I'm sure he doesn't want to blow his chance of going to the Superbowl. He may have been in trouble before but he's not an idiot. And it's not about what they've done in the past. It's about what they do now.

TO PLAY AGAIN HE HAD TO MAKE CHANGES?
    GORGEOUS LIE THERE.
To play again Jerry 'da rat' Jones had to do the same tjhing he always does, anything and everything, usually extremely unethical, to win.
Sweet whispers in the commisioners ear to get Pacboy suspended. Soothsaying to to the Titans to get him released. Cajoling Goodell to get Pacboy signed. Extortion to get him reinstated.
Its his satan worshipping talents played out to perfection.

Well ultra you shouldnt preach for the titans...they did produe pacman and there has been no bigger cheap shot in nFL history than the one Haynesworth did by stepping on the face with his cleats of a defenseless player on his back with no helmet...maybe you should check out the titans and their players a little better

Cool. We don't have cable right now but we can still get some stations. I've been wanting to see Dallas play. It won't be long now. I was looking at a computer animated tour of Dallas' new stadium. Looked pretty awesome.

older you are right I would also go after Pac because im sure he isnt quite there yet..would be a good move i think...4 TDs i doubt ....The good thing is that he is still better than any of the corners that Cleveland have...and they will have to cover TO...Ohh and 1 more point TO needs 1 TD to get to second most TDs for any receiver in history
