Titans planning to play more Vince Young

Tennessee “VinceTitans owner Bud Adams is understandably embarrassed by the team's 59-0 debacle from last Sunday and one of his solutions for his train wreck of a team is apparently for the team to used quarterback Vince Young(notes) a little more, according to the Tennessean.

The word is that Adams is likely to ditch head coach Jeff Fisher, who has been with the team for 15 years, at season's end even though he's got two more years on his contract. "If we end up losing every game or don't look better, I'd have to look at that pretty hard, you know what I mean?'' Adams told the paper.

"Right now, it's as bad as I've seen it," said the 86-year-old. After all, his winless team had the best record in the NFL last season.

Lucky for Fisher, Adams doesn't apparently believe in making coaching changes in the middle of the year. "Even if I am unhappy, you don't make changes in the middle of the season. You don't know what you might end up with,'' he said.

One thing he apparently wants is for quarterback Vince Young to get more playing time. "I just think we need to find out how well (Young) can do," Adams said.

If Bud Adams is stupid enough to fire Jeff Fisher, it will play right into the hands of Jerry Jones. Jerry has long coveted Jeff Fisher to coach the Cowboys!

Can you imagine what the score would have been if Young was playing? A couple of pick sixes added to the score.

Can't hurt to play Young at this point. The defense is among the 5 worst in the league and that is the biggest problem. QB wasn't a strength last year when the defense was holding opponents to 15 points, now they give up 35+ every week. Maybe they could swap Young for Quinn?

I'm not a Titans fan(let's just say Poster #3 is a sorry loser idiot) and even I would be mad if the Titans fired Fisher... how dumb would that be? You take a guy who made that franchise a playoff contender every year but this one and throw him to the curb after one bad year. If I was a Titans fan, I'd be livid if that happened.

I will admit it. I am a Titans / Bud Adams HATER! Nothing against the people of Tennessee but when the team you grew up with bolts town and leaves you without a team for a few years, you tend to hate on them. I hope they go 0-16. That would be great! The organization deserves this and I am loving every minute of their misery! I am angry with CBS for cutting away from the Pats-Titans game after halftime. I was enjoying the drubbing the Titans were receiving. They even reminded me of the old bumbling Oilers I grew up with. Hey Bud, its not Collins nor Fishers fault. Look in the mirror. It also could be the throwback uniforms. I can attest, the team played like the team that used to wear the Derrick Helmets. Keep it up Titans, I am enjoying your misery all the way here in Houston! Bwwaahhhhhhhhhh! Go Texans!

To New Amerika: yea we did but he wanted more money and is now dealing with injuries as a Redskin. To those who said that firing Fisher is dumb: SOMETHING has to be done to make this team better. Maybe we don't have to fire him but relinquish his play calling rights like they just did in Washington. And, why not fire him? Maybe Vince isn't mentally ready but as a coach it's your job to be sure that ANY player is mentally ready or you let them go. It's ridiculous that Collins is still starting when he's proven nothing this season (even Washington had the good sense to bench Jason Campbell this past Sunday). We're 0-6; someone ain't doing something right! Fisher better be thanking God that Bud doesn't believe in firing in mid-season: had it been me, he would've BEEN gone. The past is the past: us having the best record last season is meaningless now, as an 0-6 team. And, it shows that Young hasn't been mentally ready, even in the preseason. Instead of pushing him to the side and sticking with Collins, Fisher should've worked more on Young, making sure that he would be ready if something like this was to happen. But, what do you expect when your team is being dogged and the starter QB is messing up, play after play but then you come in late in the 3rd or 4th when you should've came in the game during the 1st or 2nd quarter? What's really dumb is that it seems that Fisher has already given up on his own team and is just letting things be instead of opening his eyes and looking at what the problem is and FIXING it.

If they over react and decide to fire Fisher they'll get what they deserve.
It's not his fault that Fat Albert went to D.C.
The Titans were a running team and still are its just hard to do being down 25 every week.
Kerry Collins was never the answer to begin with. He had a 1 year resurgence and that's it.
They should of kept developing Young from day 1.

I'm not saying vince is the answer. But he is there only hope for a win, to add a spark to the titans. Besides this is his contract year before they need to pay him his bonus next. Year, so the need to find out if they are gunna keep him or draft another qb next year

They need to start Vince, now they are using their heads. Collins is a joke this year and he was one last year. They need Vince if they really want to do some things. Lets not forget this guys career at Texas he was a legend being the only QB to beat USC when they were on top.

Firing Fisher is not the answer. Look hard at the defensive coordinator. He is responsible for calling the plays and getting the defense prepared for each game. He is the one who should be fired, not Fisher. At this stage of the season they might as well start Young. They need to see what he can do. If he can't do the job, then there are some very good quarterbacks coming into the 2010 draft.

Finally get retarded geriatric penn state reject outta there. vince young is talented beyond belief. he will prevail. even peyton manning only won 3 of his first 16 games started. playoffs are already shot barring the unthinkable. might as well get him out there on the field to get comfortable. theres no pressure on him with the team 0-6. go vince!!

a little he has a better win percentage than collins (look it up) start him!..your 0 and 6 guess it was jim schwartz defense the hole time no offense (either spelling LOL) jeff fisher is a great coach but ever sense schwartz left tennesee went to hell....Glad he's are head coach. Start VY try to spark your lazy offense and sad defense stop putting him in when your down 42 that helps him in no way. hell run the spread it dosen't matter as long as collins is on the bench if kerry was that good the gians wouldn't have needed kurt warner or eli manning
