We'll all know soon enough if Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher is attempting job suicide or not. If he starts Kerry Collins(notes) at quarterback again on Sunday when his team takes on the Jacksonville Jaguars, you can expect team owner Bud Adams to pretty much make up his mind to can the coach.
Since the Titans were embarrassingly pummeled 59-0 by the New England Patriots, Adams has been dropping massive hints that he wants quarterback Vince Young(notes) to be in the offensive huddle when the game gets underway this coming weekend, according to the Tennessean. The paper reports that the hints are getting much more direct as the game gets closer.
The 0-6 Titans had a merciful bye week this past weekend but now they've got to get ready to take their medicine again and one suspects that Fisher, who won't commit to either Collins or Young in press conferences so far, will get with the program and send Young out there to at least satisfy the 86-year-old Adams. And why not? Nothing else is working.

Fisher's head on a burning stick. Stop living in the past with this guy. His time is over. Whether Vince is the answer or not by coming out with Collins every week when the season is clearly over your embarrassing your second string QB(Vince) The 59-0 blowout should have done it.
Fisher face just looking at it is becoming very disturbing.

As you saw earlier injuries in the secondary. no pash rush due to the absence of Albert Haynesworth has created a surprisingly weak defensive team.
Defense was the Titans calling card. The absence of D Coordinator on top of all this has added up to this miserable record.
Vince young should be inserted however He won't be a cure all because recievers and tight end are dropping balls.
For all those saying that it's not the QB.
Kerry Collins was good for not making turnovers. This year he is a turnover machine!

Successful teams build from a mix of the draft and free agent signings. The only reason the Titans are good is if they get steals in the draft i.e. 7th round pick Cortland Finnegan, CJ, Bo Scaife, and our 6th? round picks in Michael Roos and David Stewart and Fisher molds a team out of them. There isn't a coach in the league that has more wins with less talent than Fisher. Think about it, Albert Haynesworth (also a draft pick) Finnegan, and CJ are the only superstars on a team that finished best in the league. Compare this to Dallas or San Diego who has more talent sitting on the sidelines as backups.
When adams joins his wife, look for the Titans to be a major force every year, like the Pats/Colts, that is if he doesn't relieve Fisher of his duties first.

That being said, perhaps the coach knows best. Perhaps he sees what Young has or doesn't have and perhaps he sees what appears to be a futile attempt to put a player in a bad position.
Perhaps Vince Young is actually unable to elevate his game to work in the NFL and Jeff Fisher actually knows this?
This team needs to rally around whatever is left for this season and the coaches need to sort through and figure out who actually has the talent and the heart to play in the NFL. Consider this a year long training camp...these players, and for what it's worth, these coaches...are playing for their jobs.
