If the Eagles want to get into Tony Romo's head, the door will never be as open as on Monday night in Texas Stadium. This will be Romo's third game against the Eagles in front of the home crowd and whichever mediocre blond singer is sitting in his luxury box, wrote Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Phil Sheridan.
On Christmas Day 2006, Romo threw two interceptions, was sacked three times and posted a passer rating of 45.5. For the first time in his breakout season as Cowboys QB, Romo was booed. Even Carrie Underwood looked like she wished she hadn't started him on her fantasy team. Last Dec. 16, the Cowboys were running away with the division and the Eagles were dead in the water. It didn't matter. They sacked Romo four times, intercepted him three times and beat him and the 'Boys, 10-6. Passer rating: 22.2. Oh, the Cowboys still went 13-3, but they lost their season finale and then looked terrible in another playoff loss.
You say it's a reach to link that game against the Eagles with the two consecutive losses that ended Romo's season? I say a beating like that leaves the body as well as the psyche battered and bruised. It can take a quarterback a while to start feeling comfortable in the pocket (or especially out of it) again.
Either way, the point holds: If the Eagles defense can knock Romo around like that again, he is going to start expecting to struggle against them. And if that happens, then, presto! They are in his head.

Wow, what a revelation there! Doesn't that hold for any quarterback against any team?

Cowboy fans been booing ever since. Next year they will bring Tony Romo bobbleheads to the games with a rope around its neck. (symbolism for choking)
