That's their loss, then. Plax is not going to do any jail time and Commissioner/Plantation Owner Goodell will suspend him for 8 games. You can get Burress fairly cheap and he's far better than any of the weak skill players tha the Bucs currentl have. Tampa is headed for a 4-12 season because their front office has no direction or plan

#3- You must have a very low IQ to say the things that you just said in your post. I know we have the right to free speech; but you're taking it a little to far. That by far was an IGNORANT statement by you and I'm quite sure that
other were prefer that you keep that ignorance out of SPORTS blogs and any other blog. What you feel about Plaxico is you business; but to address a whole race of people can cause a few issues.
I know you what not make that statement in the presence of ANY African-American male or female.
Because you hide behind your computer any speak. That's the SAFE way to do it.

What Plax did was stupid but does not warrent jail time. Any other state and he would beon probation and this would be over.NY gun laws happen to be harder then most its not like he shot and killed someone it was a stupid mistake and people do worst everyday and there ability to make money isnt effected.
IM not a Burress fan by dang let the guy move on

It's no secret that the Bucs are looking for another receiver. You never know what Antonio Bryant will show up for games, the good receiver Bryant or the head case. Clayton has not produced the type of numbers he is capable of producing, and the others are untried.

Race shouldn't play a role in his sentencing, but probably will somehow. I do think if this were a darling of the NFL, such as Mannings, Brady or Rothlessburger, they would get a better deal than Burress turned down. I don't know if that is a white/black issue though. I'd like for Goodell to come down harder on Plax if he avoids jail time, but I know Goodell is above self motives. This won't be the last gun incident the NFL will have to endure, so make a statement Goodell to harshly deter future happenings. Plax could have killed himself or you or I, all over protecting the ring on his finger, the jewelry around his neck or the wad of cash in his pocket. He shot the right person atleast. Pierce should have been disciplined as well for his role in trying to help a horrible attempt at covering it up. Marvin Harrison roams a free man, and he most likely used his gun in a fist fight......Last check he was a man of color. My gun has the same results and I think I'd be somebodies boyfriend in jail still. These racist comments are sick folks and shows that a vast majority of people still need to mature. You folks cheer as hard as you can when a person of color scores a TD or makes a great play, but as soon as they fumble, throw a pick or lose a game, they instantly revert back to being "useless slaves". There is more to life than race my people and the expressions displayed here should stay at your sick, narrow minded, clan rallies.

Bucs are too smart to take Plax- He's overratted and if it wasnt for that TD catch in the Superbowl, He would still be mediocre receiver. Eff him.

Wow, no need to get personal here and points are better made w/o the colorful side comments. Not surprised the Bucs are passing, and would not be surprised if the Jets did the same. For all his talent, Plax is a huge distraction, and not a team player. He apparently still has the "me first" sense of entitlement and hasn't learned a thing. He's already turned down a plea bargain where he would have served about 30 days. If he goes to trial, he's facing about 3 1/2 years mandatory on the gun possession. Manhattan has the highest conviction rate on this charge of all the NYC boroughs. There comes a point for every problem player where the headaches are just not worth it. If there was a team out there that was 1 wide receiver away from a Superbowl, then maybe someone would take the chance, but that does not seem to be the case. He'll also be 32 at the start of this season, so he's getting up there. He may have simply worn out his welcome.

How the f--- hell does race have anything to do with Plax not going to the bucs, yet likely will have jail time. Use your f--- IQ it's the 21st cen and by now race should not be an issue. I'm a true Bucs fan now if we go after Marshall that's one thing but the pre season has not happened yet and we did to first see how the Bucs fare and give Raheem a chance!
