With the Miami Dolphins losing their top two quarterbacks with injuries in Sunday's victory over the Tennessee Titans, and the next game fast approaching on Thursday night, they needed some extra arms -- and quickly.
A source told ProFootballTalk that the team tried out five quarterbacks Monday and signed Patrick Ramsay, who has played for seven other teams since 2002.
According to the Miami Herald, the team is still thinking that quarterback who started the season as the second-stringer, Chad Henne(notes), might be back soon from the knee injury that he suffered Sunday, though he's on crutches. "The team is optimistic Henne will return to action sooner [rather] than later this season," the paper notes.
"I'm proceeding under the assumption that right now we are day-to-day,'' head coach Tony Sparano told the Herald.
If Henne can't return, expect one of those other four to be getting a phone call.
