NFL - Scoop Du Jour

Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers led the college ranks in sacks last season with 15.5. Unfortunately for him, he had surgery in January to fix up a small tear in the right meniscus, which had some wondering how much his draft position would be affected and how well he could recover.

A source to the Cleveland Plain Dealer said that the knee in question received a good report in Indianapolis over the weekend. It looked so good in the physical exam, the source said, that Bowers didn't have to get an MRI or X-ray.

Bowers meets with the Cleveland Browns Tuesday, the paper reports. The Browns hold the sixth pick in the upcoming draft.
