There's a chance Matt Hasselbeck won't see any game action until the regular season starts. No one at Seahawks headquarters Wednesday confirmed that was the case, but it doesn't seem like the team wants to take any chances with the health of its star quarterback.
Hasselbeck has taken part in just one full practice since hurting his back on a throw during the first quarter of the exhibition game against Minnesota Aug. 8. He did some drills last Thursday and went through all of Monday's session at the team's new headquarters, but he walked off the field about halfway through Tuesday's session with tightness in his back.
The prospect of Hasselbeck playing in Monday's exhibition at San Diego is dim, though coach Mike Holmgren said it was too early to make that decision. Third- and fourth-string quarterbacks Charlie Frye and Dalton Bell got most of the snaps in practice the past two days; backup Seneca Wallace is still working his way back from a groin problem.
"We're going to take it a day at a time and just see how he feels," Holmgren said.
Holmgren downplayed Hasselbeck's absence as simply a small setback, saying that his quarterback would be fine in time for the regular season.

The only thing that stick is when he burns the opposing defenses, that they dont know what hit em.
This guy is terrible...he should change his name to Matt (Not)Husselmuch...
Maybe your mom should have changed your name, stupid.

This guy is propable talking about soccer since he doesnt know what the F he is talking about.
he needs all the rest he can get before game #1 when hecomes to buffalo and we circle the wagons on the sea-buzzards.

The only wagon you will be circling is the one that you will be taking home after the LOSS.
Don't lose anymore hair worrying about who to throw the ball to Matt!
LOL
That is funny, NOT. He lost all that hair when we had Butter finder DJack so dont worry about it.

Darrell Jackson and Koren Robinson are gone, hence, Seattle recievers are not known for dropping balls anymore. They led the league in 2003 and 2004, but have been very consistent ever since, which has a lot more to do with Hasselbeck playing at an elite level than his recievers being elite players. With Brett Favre playing for the Jets, you could arguably make the case that Hasselbeck is the top QB in the NFC.
As for their current recievers...Did you know who DJ Hackett was before 2006? I doubt it. Do you know who Ben Obomanu or Courtney Taylor is? I'd say theres a pretty good chance you will before the end of the season. Both Branch and Engram will be back by week 4 anyways. What the Seahawks need is the season to start already so they can start shuting up all the doubters.

"Seahawks are consistently the most over-rated team in the NFL."
They are never talked about nor are they mentioned amongst the league top contenders. The Dallas Cowboys however are constantly mentioned as one of the top teams in NFL but they can't even win a post season game.

What happened when they went to the superbowl against the Steelers? Nothing!
They have an old man for a QB, no running game, and an even older O-Line.
I bet Seattle and Arizona will have similar records by seasons end.
The only hope for your team is if they move to Oklahoma like the Sonics. That or bring back the Boz...HA!

Everyone except the Stealer fans know that Seattle was cheated out of a SB. NO hard feeling though. I can give you so many facts but your only 10 you propbably wouldn't understand them.
