Saints' Bush wants to hear MVP chants

New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush recently joked that his friend and neighbor, Hornets point guard Chris Paul, "is putting a lot of pressure on me" with his MVP-caliber season.

"Now I've got to come and have an equal or better year," Bush said. "I've got to get the crowd chanting MVP.

"Last season I was injured more than I had ever been injured in my whole career," Bush said during a recent break from the team's offseason workout program. "It was hard to stay on top of staying explosive and strong in the weight room when you're constantly rehabbing every week. It was a little different year. Hopefully I can stay healthy throughout the year, throughout the season and still keep myself in shape physically and up to par."

BUSH = BUST!!!!! Great job Texans passing on him. I would take Mario over Bush anyday of the week. Bush shouldn't have been a 1st or even 2nd rounder, He was great in college but he's just 2 small for the bigs.

Bush is better suited as second fiddle and stealing the spotlight from the workhorse from USC behind LenDale White and now NO behind Deuce McCallister. He was finally given the chance to shine and flamed out before the injury cost him the season. I'm hoping that he turns out to be a decent back for the Saints after all the issues they've had lately, but he is starting to look more and more like a faster Kijana Carter. RBs have NFL-life span of 4-8 years. This is year 3 and besides being a glorified receiver, he has not done anything to turn the world on fire. Gale Sayers can rest assure that Bush will not come close to what he did. I say that you line Deuce up in the back field and move Bush to WR opposite Colsten. Hey, it worked for Eric Metcalf and he extended his career by another 3 or 4 years. Might want to consider it. He can still run the reverses and line up as 3rd down back as well as spot duty to give Deuce a breather. He is a weapon, but is not a workhorse. Get it through your skulls and they can actually start winning again.

I agree with #12 Bush has talent and loads of physical ability, but he is just not a 25 carry a game 1,500 rusher. Use his versatility and find several ways to get him the ball and keep defenses guessing.

bush is a bust ....And i was a bush believer , but I think he proved he can't handle the NFL, bt then again who knows, he was injured one year and he did alright his rookie campaign so we will see, i think he isn't to small its that he isn't smart enough for the plays that are being made....

You guys are all mentally challenged.
Bush has better numbers after TWO yeas than Tiki Barber had after his first THREE. Was Tiki a bust, or someone who never contributed to the NFL???
He hasnt performed up to the level of HYPE he had, but to call him a bust because of that is ridiculous.

Bush is dangerous Saints need to use him as the Bears use Hester and he will be more productive, His size will not let him hold up as a feature down after down back.. Only time will tell though....

duece stays healthy and bush goes to slot receiver aka wes welker...that would be ideal..plus trick plays utilizing his speed. hes too small to be an every down back. nevermind the freakin mvp..play football and help the saints win. bush isnt a bust..overhyped yes..but he would still be an asset to any nfl team if used correctly.

Bush ins't a bust just yet, give him a break he was injured and it seems to me ya'll are hating on him we'd all love to go home to Kim Kardashian.
He has tons of ability he's still young and the saints o-line isnt exactly the greatest.
After this year if he stays injury free we'll talk about him being a bust!!!

Are we all sick of the Reggie Bush braggin' hour yet? This guy was good in college, but the NFL is an entire different world! I really don't understand why so many people are having a cow over this punk. How about Brian Westbrook? He has been performing the feats Reggie boy can only dream about! Where is the credit for Mr.Westbrok? If any running back in this league needs put on a display for his greatness, its Brian Westbrook. How about giving some credit, where credit is due! Forget Reggie, he will never be any better than what he is now, and that's not saying very much!
