Romo partying in Vegas with bad back?

“TonyTony Romo(notes) has a sore back. He had it before the 24-7 win against the Oakland Raiders on Thanksgiving and he had it afterward, particularly after getting hit hard on the hit hard on the first series. So what did he do this past weekend to help get himself and his back ready for next weekend's big game against division rival New York Giants? He went to Vegas, of course.

Romo and wide receiver Miles Austin(notes) apparently got some pictures taken of themselves by an anonymous photographer while they partied in Vegas, according to the Dallas Morning News. But the pair are saying they had planned to go to Vegas for months now in order to attend a private charity event and were only there for 14 hours.

A lot can happen in 14 hours, of course.

Romo and his still bad back showed up at the team's facilities Saturday morning to get treatment.

Coach Wade Phillips is saying the back shouldn't stop Romo from taking on the Giants.

So do you guys all go home from work facing a day or two off that was granted to you and study for work? Or do you find something to take your mind off of things for a while? I know what I do, and if I could have the ease Romo has in going to Vegas I would in a heartbeat. Why does it matter what he is doing when not on the field. He is not causing trouble so who cares. No need to try the argument "well he makes millinons, so he should always be worried abotu his job". Nah I think that is a invalid argument. So instead fault hiom for his millions of dollars and his free bird mentality. His first errant pass, which mind he does atleast 3-4 times a game, you all will say "should not have done the blow off the hookers chest now, right"? After all that is all of our excuse when we have a sub-par day at the office isnt it?
And Dallas Morning News, thanks again for such stellar non-news...Wonder what problem they might brew up if he goes 20-29 308 3 td and a pick Sunday?

OK, for all those complaining about this trip. think a bit. these guys are always out doing charity stuff, that is part of promoting the NFL. And for those who always seem to think Troy Aikman never went out, no you didn't hear about it, because we weren't all internet freaks back then. But, I can tell you, back when he was dating Lorie Morgan, I used to see Troy hanging out at Billy Bobs all the stinkin time. get over yourselves and think about it. Not to mention, it was the friday after the win, and the players weren't even required to report back to work until Monday, and He actually came in on Saturday for treatment and all.

Dude, dont get so upset about your QB getting ragged on. It's no ones business what he does on his off time, while he's suppose to be hurt. Actually this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, after all we all know what their going to do come playoff time anyway. I mean provided they make the playoffs!

I agree with number 1. He does what he likes. Who gives a S**T? I guess since he has all this money and fame he's suppose to give up his life for just football. As long as he keeps up his play there is no problem.

"What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!" I guess not if your are Tony Romo. Better tell Mayor Goodman somebody blabbed! If you don't know, Mayor Goodman use to be a mob lawyer back in the day. He is an excellent Mayor and ambassador for Vegas. Could be the Governor if he runs.
There is a lot of charity events that take place in this town. If a guy drops a few dollars in a slot machine while passing thru Vegas, so be it. I am not a Romo fan, but get off Tony's back in this case.

    Bad guy # 15 - WTF?
As far as this story goes who cares where Romo is as long as he plays like he's been playing while they are winning. As long as they arent doing things like the movie the Hangover and lose Miles Austin on the roof of their hotel everything is all good.

I spoke to a Cajun cab driver who drove Bill Bellichick to the A&P on Bourbon St. last night to buy a voodoo doll and he was amazed how all Bill wanted to do was party after the beatdown he took. Bill said " Look anybody can win with Drew Brees but try winning with Brady and my swiss cheese defense or look at Dallas trying to win with Romo I mean it ain't Payton I'm still the greatest coach, so I know if I had Cassell I'd be partying with him right now with a win but its all Kraft's fault for trading my franchise player"
