NFL - Sports Rumors

“CarlosWashington Redskins cornerback Carlos Rogers(notes) has not won himself a lot of fans in the team's front office in the past 24 hours, you can be sure.

The team's execs have already got to be pretty frustrated about the team's 2-3 start and then Rogers adds insult to injury by including them in the blame, according to NBCSports. "We've got a lot of things we need to iron out, a lot of problems," Rogers apparently said. "It not only starts with the players, coaches; it starts with the ownership. They bring everybody in and they've got last say-so of everything, so that's where it starts, I guess."

Ouch. Rogers says there are lot of things the team is trying to "iron out": "Until we address those issues and turn it around, we're going to be the same, going up and down," he said.

Wonder if he's looking for a job in human resources when his playing career is over.

finally someone on the inside blames vinny. i love it. i'm sorry to say this, but i'm hoping for continued embarassing losses. the only way vinny is out is if this team totally wrecks. any win just promotes the status quo...

Carlos, need to spend less time blabbering and more time playing catch so you guys can help get some INTs for a chance. Can ownership make plays on the field? JUST GO PLAY AND BEAT THE STINKIN CHIEFS LIKE YOU MEAN IT !!!

Rogers is in the last year of his contract, so if he's planning on moving this offseason, he's in good shape to say this with little repercussion. Go to harryhogfootball (.com) to read more thoughts about this.

Good for you Carlos. Tell 'em the truth. This team sucks balls because of the inept owner. Synder is an idiot who should have concentrated on bringing in solid o-line men. Instead he signed a fat good for nothing player. Who's done zero. Way to get your money's worth. And so what if Carlos doesn't have a starting job with the 'Skins next year. He'll probably do better with any of the other NFL teams out there. And I hope the 'Skins loose the rest of their games. They don't deserve to win another game. Maybe then that idiot Synder will wake up and see the problem. Probably not. All he's interested in is making his money.

Jason cambell is the major issue along with the one yard wonder clinton! trade them both!!!!!!!!! redskins are done this year and will be another two years until the team gets back in contention.....what a waste of $$$

Carlos - You are a truth teller.
Unfortunately Snyder doesn't know the meaning of "Don't Shoot the messenger" or any other Code of Conduct - and like Champ and Shawn you probably will not get a contract extension....

We need a "leader" on the field, not a one good play a game, 3 downs and out nobody. Campbell has had his chance at running this team - get rid of him NOW!!!

I'm a die hard Skins fan and although I've never been a big fan of Carlos Rogers, he earned major points with me by making that comment. I've been saying it all along that the fault mainly lies with Vinny. I can only blame Snyder for hiring Vinny and agreeing with him on all his doings but I can't blame Snyder for willing to spend the money. Thanks Carlos for speaking up and I sure hope others follow suit and start pointing the finger at the higher ups.

Please sell the team Mr. Snyder to someone who isn't a control freak, that will HAVE big name coaches that want to play for him, that will give complete control to people who have actually played and studied the game, and isn't just out to enrich en himself more!!! We know you want to win, but obviously your system isn't working!!! We really got spoiled during the JK Cooke/Joe Gibbs 80's era. Please let the most loyal fans in the country have that again, we deserve it!!!

Yes there is plenty of blame to go around the redskins !!! however i see to much chest pounding and pointing fingers at themself over one play , like look at me !!! this tell me that there is no team unity . i look back at old redskins film during the glory days , even a super bowl film and i see a team celibration , not look at me i am great chest beating .

hes a free agent at the end of the season, he probably just wants out so he can play for a better team (ex. Ryan Clark with Pittsburgh), where he will still drop ballb, but wont be forced to make as many plays, so he will look and perform better. Just as every player who leaves our system does.

Rogers shouldn't be criticizing anyone. Every game I've seen this year he doesn't make the big plays and he can't catch a ball for an INT when it hits right in the chest. Maybe he should spend less time complaining and more time practicing.
