As the Baltimore Ravens begins their search for a replacement for fired Brian Billick the candidate who would be the frontrunner for the job is the one nobody has heard from yet.
The Ravens admit that former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher is the man they'd love to have. Only Cowher hasn't said whether he'd be interested or not. Cowher did tell representatives of the Atlanta Falcons he wanted to stay retired for at least one more year.
A spokesman for Octagon sports and entertainment agency, which represents Cowher, said he thinks the former Pittsburgh Steelers coach hasn't changed his stance about coaching in 2008.

Bill is worth more bucks than the Rooneys could afford - and he's got a Super Bowl ring by God! He's worth his weight in gold. When he comes out of retirement it will be in a big market for a big salary, in the NFC.
I wish him all the best. Thanks for many great years in Pittsburgh, Coach!

Nobody relocates to Baltimore unless they have a death wish.
But, back on topic. I hope Cowher goes to Baltimore. It would be a pleasure to watch him in that oh-so self destructive front office. Cowher is no friend of Pittsburgh. One Superbowl in 15 years... and that was followed by the worst year of coaching ever witnessed in Pittsburgh. Cowher has shot his load. Whoever picks him up will be sorely disappointed.
