When a team is 0-7, it can't be too shocking when rumors start to circulate that the starting quarterback is going to probably lose his job. That's what folks are saying about the big guy for the St. Louis Rams, Marc Bulger(notes), according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The Rams are expected to be very actively looking for a quarterback via free agency and in the 2010 draft, which it will likely be near the top of the picking list unless some miracle happens and the Rams starting winning some games.
The 31-year-old Bulger was a Pro Bowler in 2006 but he's now at the helm of a team with a 17-game losing streak.
It's looking like the Rams are hoping to go the young-gun route and find success as the Baltimore Ravens did with Joe Flacco(notes) and the Atlanta Falcons did with Matt Ryan(notes) last year.

They figured Bulger had at least 1 more year left in him....but doesn't look like it. With a strong QB class coming up they should be able to find his replacement though. Sanchez wouldn't have been a good fit in St. Louis this year. He'd have been destroyed there....that is if he started (which he wouldn't have).

You think Bradford is gonna flop but you like Tebow?
Is it backwards day?
I like Tebow too.....as a fullback or TE! Shouldn't sniff the QB spot in the NFL unless it's a wildcat formation.
Bradford, Locker, or Clausen are who the Rams will likely look at in the draft.

Two words...say it with me...Mike Vick.
Vick should have been at the top of our list when he was available. Even with his issues, he would've been a solid backup to start the season. Especially now when we see our offensive line break down every other play. When that happens, you need a scrambling QB. I think Vick would have exceptional success with the Rams, and if there's still a chance, we should make a deal and trade up with Philly. Just sayin...

2007: 21-32, 244 Yards, 3 Td's 0 Int's. He Was a Freshman against Number 10 Texas then.
2008: 28-39, 387 Yards, 5 td's 2 int's/
2009: Hurt.
Then against Florida He didn't have the greatest game, but when the team around you isn't performing then its kind of hard to carry them against a Team like Florida. His stats for that Game are as Follows:
26-41, 256 Yards, 2 Td's 2 Int's
But lets see the Three games boefre the National Championship loss were against
Texas Tech #12
Oklahoma St #16
Missouri #19
His combined stats for those three games....Get Ready....
78-112, 1058 Yards, 10 Td's 0 Int's.
He won't be around for the Rams to draft him anyways. He will be picked up by the 49ers who have two first round picks and will trade one of those picks and a couple later round picks to move up and grab him.

Getting put on your back every snap = zero success - for any QB. Until the Rams address the big problems, starting with offensive line, it's going to be the same song and dance.

They need PLAYERS not A player... I never understand why teams do that. If you're 0-16, you have a talent problem. Trade Steven Jackson for a 2nd and 3rd, trade down in the first and now you have 4-6 players for the price of 2. On a team like StL, they need the quantity and this draft is supposed to be extremely deep.
