The Oakland Raiders sit atop the AFC West rankings with a 5-4 record. Even though he's been out for the last two games and barely played in the Oct. 23 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs due to a sprained foot, running back Darren McFadden(notes) has scored four touchdowns and rushed for 614 yards, good for 13th best in the league. He took off his protective walking boot Monday, the San Francisco Chronicle reports, but it's looking like he'll have to wait a little longer to add to his stats.

The Chronicle reports that McFadden and wide receiver Jacoby Ford(notes) are "big longshots" to take the field Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

"Honestly I don't know," head coach Hue Jackson said Tuesday about the possibility of McFadden playing Sunday, according to the Chronicle. "I'm going to leave that to our doctors. He is getting closer, I do know that. I know he's working his tail off. When I saw him this morning he looked good. Until we get closer later on in the week and we know exactly where he is, I don't want to speculate."
