Free-agent cornerback Antonio Cromartie(notes) holds the NFL record for the longest touchdown return with a 109.5-yard return after a missed field goal back in 2007. Now he's just waiting for the right contract to come along. has it that the Oakland Raiders are aiming to get Cromartie, who played for the San Diego Chargers from 2006 to 2009 and then spent last season with the New York Jets.

ESPN points out that Cromartie and free-agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha(notes) could be "trading places" since the Jets are "one of the teams most ardently pursuing Asomugha." The site also has it that the Raiders have been connected to San Francisco safety Dashon Goldson(notes) and Baltimore tackle Jared Gaither(notes).
