Tom Heckert

Citing a team source, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Philadelphia Eagles general manager Tom Heckert will interview for the Atlanta Falcons' GM job. The source said Heckert will fly to Atlanta on Sunday and interview with Falcons owner Arthur Blank on Monday.

Heckert, 40, has been with the Eagles since May 2001 and has held the GM title for the last two years. He received the GM title after the Minnesota Vikings tried to hire him as their GM the same year they hired former Eagles offensive coordinator Brad Childress to be their head coach.

Other candidates include: Green Bay personnel analyst John Schneider, Green Bay pro personnel director Reggie McKenzie, and Indianapolis assistant general manager Chris Polian, the son of Colts president Bill Polian and Kansas City's player personnel chief, Bill Kuharich, also is a candidate.

See for yourselves, how many companies in Bay area are managed and operated by Indians.
I would like to see my fellow Indian gurus to run the NFL teams.
    How about
Guru Gajanan = one with elephant face
Guru Gajaadhar = who can command an elephant
Guru Gajkaran = ears of elephant
Guru Gajpati = master of elephant, Ganesha

If the Govt gave an Indian a free grant to be an NFL coach or GM like they do to open hotels and stores you can bet they would be in there.

As an Eagle fan, I am concerned that this is just a lateral move. Why would he want to jump ship from the Eagles to the Falcons? What is it that makes the FALCONS??? a better opportunity?
