Roger Goodell could reinstate Adam "Pacman" Jones this week, but Wade Phillips isn't spending any time thinking about how Pacman might fit in the game plan for the San Francisco 49ers.

Phillips said that he doesn't know anything about the possibility of Pacman's indefinite suspension ending.

"I really don't know," Phillips said. "When he's gone, he's gone. We don't really think about it. We're preparing the guys that I have."

Would Phillips want Pacman back if the commissioner clears him to play?

"Yeah," he said. "Sure."

A league spokesman said no decision will be made on Pacman Tuesday.

This dude doesn't get it.. I am all about second and third chances.. This guy doesnt realize the opportunity he has been afforded. Im not a big fan of the commisioner Goodell rules all.. but " Adam" must have to realize as fans of the game we deserve better from the players and they outcome their actions has on our teams as well as negative impact.. I am usually the last to cast my opinion, but "Adam" may not have it all in the mental department. Great palyer = Great distraction in this case. Not even a great player. He hasnt done anything major in the NFL. Loads of potential either as a football player or making liscense plates.. OH yea, and First Bizzneyotches!!!

Americans need to seriously consider not attending anymore games or watching anymore televised games. These are the kind of idiots you are giving your hard earned money too. It doesn't make sense especially in today's economic climate.
Consider doing something outdoors at a FREE park with your family instead of watching these moronic jokers who without their athletic ability would be sitting in a jail cell somewhere.

The only people who really care if he comes back are those who wish to see the Cowboys fail...No team relies on one player unless that player is the QB and only because of his role and leadership potential. Adams didn't necessarily bring anything spectacular to the table but not playing for 2 years that was to be expected...he was making progress and I definitely agree that he isn't needed...BUT I highly doubt that anyone on the team would tell him to go if he was reinstated and least of all Jerry...he is the one who will get the back lash if the team cuts him...though most people would not blame him...the Jerry haters will be in their glory...the NFL's #1 Owner and GM may have made a mistake and the haters would love to throw it in his face.

Pacman is a loser and is no role model to kids. such a great talent and even gets paid great money and yet there is a college player busting his rear end every day for a chance at the nfl dream and this screw up just keeps getting chances.!

I do not know if it would be good to bring him back. The guy has talent but with the Cowboys taking one step forward don't need distractions to start going back.

Who cares? Who really care? Never in the history of this game has so much attention been given to such a mediocre player. At least when Deion made headlines he was usually doing something on the field as well. At least LT was breaking people's femurs along with his drug problem stories. Can we get over Pacman being a screw up?

he's no loss, he is just another prima donna like all these others that are created by big business college football. these players are led to believe that they are the greatest and we the public join right in. these players have a sense of entitlement. they think they are entitled to do whatever they want and we all look the other way and say "well he probably didnt mean do to that , lets just look the other way and figure out a way to let him play ball"
we (coaches, parents, colleges, ncaa officials, etc.) are not doing these young men any favors. we need to start bringing these young men up to be decient, humble, if they want to be in the public eye.

Just cause Pacman doesn't have an INT doesn't mean he is a mediocre player. He was the best DB on the field for DC. Off the field...a thug. I don't care if he comes back or not but to say he wasn't one of the best right now is just plain wrong. Great speed, great hands, good instincts. He is just a idiot for not taking care of business off the field which is about to cost him his career.

So where in the article do you see a pair of quotes with the following Phillips doesn't expect Pacman back with Cowboys? When I read it, it said that Phillips will prepare for him not to be there. If he comes back then he will use him. Nothing about what he expects.
