New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady(notes) is in the final year of his contract and the team is trying to ensure the 33-year-old, three-time Super Bowl champ sticks around for a few more years.
The Boston Herald reports that it looks like things are going well regarding a contract extension based on the relationship of team owner Robert Kraft and Brady, which was once thought to be growing apart.
The paper reports that Brady spent a good chunk of his day off on Sunday playing golf with Kraft. Then the pair got together on the field to talk after the team's second practice of the day Sunday.
"The exchange seemed friendly and cordial," the Herald notes. "There was no official news about an agreement being reached, but the Brady-Kraft dynamic appears to be on solid footing."
