Pacman Jones

Pacman Jones might need to brush up on clichés, but his point is that he isn't assuming he'll be a Dallas Cowboy until the trade with the Titans is done.

"You can't count the eggs before they hatch," Pacman said on Michael Irvin's ESPN 103.3 show. "Everybody knows I would love to play for Dallas. Hopefully, it will work itself out."

Pacman said he's anxiously awaiting the trade and that he can't wait to work out with his new teammates. Two problems with that: 1) He won't be allowed to work out with the Cowboys until Sheriff Goodell says so; 2) He's got a minor injury at the moment.

"I had got to a point where I was working out a little too much," Pacman said. "I done pulled my groin, so I took off the last two and a half weeks."

Give the Thug the boot. He doesn't deserve to play football in the NFL anymore anymore.
Pac Man, Chris Henry, and Quincy Wilson are just part of the Rich Rodriguez family values program. Get ready Michigan, the Tom Brady days are over in Ann Arbor.

Crux - I done no he didn't had in-ne eggs ta count. Must be imagin' thangs. C'mon, is Jerry Jones even interested in this guy anymore? Dallas could always go defense and pick the top CB in the draft. Or go with McFadden because it looks like he'll be lower in draft - at least the 4 or 5th pick. You got Long, Long, Dorsey, Ellis, Gholston who might be picked before McFadden.

Mornin' Emperor, what's up? I don't think a good CB makes or breaks a team and with his downside, just too risky.

Give the thug the boot? first of all, its not about u. second hes a pretty good thug at his nfl position. sure hes made and probably will make some ill advised decisions down the line but its not your money that will pay the dude.if the powers that b move 4 reinstatement i think he deserves a shot at redemption. if nothing more we'll b entertained. im not a cowboy fan. in fact i don't really know if i like pacman that much but i do like GOOD football and the young man CAN bring that under the proper guidance and tutelege. just tryin'a keep the competition lofty. as a GIANT fan it's lonely at the top biyatch!

#8 you are the kind of Giants fan I like. Wait, no. You are the kind of FOOTBALL fan I like. Tip of the Cowboy hat to ya. Give Pac a shot at the league minimum and let's see how much the young man has changed.

Nothing much. I would take Pacman if he is willing to start with a smaller salary. Prove to me he is still good, then the salary would increase but don't expect to hit it rich like Asante Samuel has done.

It's a shame when athlete's with as much talent as he has can't control their actions. It's also a shame they make it through college based on their athletic talent instead of academics. Athlete's that screw up multiple times like Pacman has should loose all rights to playing in the NFL. I loved watching him play, but please do not reinstate him - he has already proven he does not learn nor deserve a fifth chance.

Go ahead Jerry Jones, sign the screw up and then watch your season get screwed up. Pacman probly wont even last through the offseason so to all you dumb cowgirls fans who want him then i hope you get him. Because he wont be playing in the regular season.

Like Pacman or not--and I don't--it's hard to see him not getting reinstated soon since he succeeded in beating the rap a few times and pleading out to a misdemeanor. The smart money says he screws up again and gets the boot for good, but like it or not, he is going to get a chance.

I say give him the chance to play, league minimum, no incentives.
See if he really wants to play for the love of the game instead of just to
get rich. make it a 1-yr deal. after which he can bounce out of town and pursue his
brass ring again.. if and only if he has truly mended his ways..
not religious but, for all those who are, is it the Judeo-Christian-Muslim belief to forgive thy brother and help him to overcome his back sliding and rejoin the ranks of mankind with a renewed heart. or something like that. JC
And gotta add--- Go STEELERS.. LOL

First of Rags, your are trying wwwaayy too hard to be articulate and intellectual. Your statement makes little or no sense. If you are truly honest with yourself, it would be clear to you that the NFL and MLB is doing nothing to foster "character". Is foorball really hurt if Pac plays? The NFL wasnt hurt when Ray Lewis was involved in a nightclub shooting. Wasnt hurt when Jamal Lewis was in trouble and came back. What about the numerous amount of over-roid-ed freaks who beat their women and then get off with out even serving an hour of probation. MLB wasnt hurt when those many players were using steroids, yet Bonds gets crucified. A person has to be "obtuse" to believe the problem lies with Pac and not the NFL for condoning such behavior for so long. In the past when the NFL does try and do something, the players union gets the punishment either lifted ot lightened. Please stop the hypocrisy.
