“AaronBrett Favre(notes) and the Minnesota Vikings took down the Green Bay Packers yesterday, 38-26, and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers(notes) is apparently paying the price.

Rodgers was apparently "limping severely" after the game, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Rodgers rushed for 52 years on five carries yesterday. He's had a foot issue that could have been aggravated.

Rodgers is saying he'll be fine in a couple of days.

Looks to me like Minnesota is the team to beat in the NFL Central Division...

Really, Patrick? What makes you think that? What an incedible insight you must have that allows you to see things that aren't obvious to anyone else. Thank you for enlightening me this morning.

I'm just glad it's over and now maybe people will start talking about something other than Favre. He got what he wanted, he's been the center of attention for the last few months, beat a weak Packer team and now it's time to move on.

It's actually the NFC north, but Patrick is right they are the team to beat. that beat down last night is going to sting for, oh say the rest of the year.

Congratulations for a great team win. If we focus on one game at a time, we have a great chance to go 15-1, heading into the second season, the post season. SKOL

Packers fans filing out of Lambaue wishing Favre was still wearing the green and yellow. Rodgers is garbage.

Rodgers is garbage? He threw for more yards than Favre with 1/2 as good of an Oline and no RB to dump the ball to. The Pack is all around a weaker team than the Vikings and Rodgers brought them fairly close to a win. The Pack made the right move. The Vikes needed a decent QB, and that's what they got. He doesn't need to be a top notch player, he only needs to hand off and toss a few simple passes.

It is a sweet win for the Vikings. One for Farve, Most of all for the division to stay in the lead. Viking are 3 and 0 in division play. Here it is. The Vikings can meet the Pac for a third time in the play off's. The Viking have played them 3 times other year. So lets start the hipe now to give something to talk about.

THe key word is almost. Brett would have completed the comeback and has done it twice this year. That's what separates the garbage from the great quarterbacks.

Moreover FAvre had 4 tds and only 40 less yards than Rodgers so you act like Rodgers had the better game.

Packers aren't making the playoffs. There will be two NFC east teams that will make it. Packers will never win a wild card with Rodgers. 7-9 will end up being the Packers record.

Just wondering, if the vikings go the route and go to the super bowl what will they do. They have already turned all four cheeks in their previous adventures. Oh well, they could take up a prone position and make the hershey highway famous.

Rodgers will never be what Favre was in Green Bay but, retire talk from Favre three years straight and Rodgers contract year. Either Farve was going or Rodgers was going. And next season or two when Farve is actually gone and Rodgers is around for the next 10-12 years putting up great numbers like last season and so far this season. Packers will know it was a great decision even though they had to play the once good ol' boy who grew devil horns in purple. But, all this will be over in a season or two.

I get sick of hearing "they beat a weak team" if the Packers were such a weak team then why was it no one had the viking pulling off a victory ?. any given Sunday ... any given Sunday. you play the game and hope to win. we beat the ravens, almost had the steelers so I'd say the Vikings are the second best team in the NFC right now ... behind the saints. get over the weak teams crap ...

The way Favre looked against the Packers, he could play for another 5 years. By that time Rodgers will be a backup on the LIons.

all the talk about Rodgers being the q.b. for the next 10 years, makes me laugh, if they don't improve the o-line he'll be lucky to finish the season. ya the dudes tough but come on, he's going to get killed if this keeps up. and with the Steele's and ravine still play, things could get ugly for that young man .

Brian B is an idiot. "Almost"...yes, if given the opportunity. Rodgers was making a dramatic comeback, made the game within 4 until Favre sealed the deal with the final TD. Oh, that's right...in Brian's eyes, it's Rodgers fault that the defense gave up the last TD. Yes, the Vikings won yesterday. Congrats to them. Hopefully we get a rematch in the playoffs. It is obvious to a knowledgable fan that the Packers made the right decision to move ahead with Rodgers and the Vikings for chasing Favre. End of story.
