Owens said Parcells is out of touch with players

Terrell Owens says former Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells is out of touch with many current NFL players. Owens, in an interview with Bloomberg Radio's On the Ball program to air this weekend, was critical of the way Parcells has dealt with Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor this off-season. The 66-year-old Parcells became Miami's executive vice president of football operations in December. Taylor, who missed off-season workouts while taping ABC's Dancing With the Stars, has said Parcells refused to speak with him.

T.O.'s response?

"I think he plays too many head games with a lot of people. What Jason was doing was beneficial for him. It's not football-related, it has to do with his personal life. Coach Parcells is way off base to criticize and call Jason out in the manner that he has. They're starting to realize he is kind of out of touch with a lot of today's athletes and things that are going on."

    As much a talent that Terrell Owens is, everytime he opens his mouth it shows how stupid this rich kid has become. He tarnishes his talents with his mouth. Just play the game......you are too talented to be stupid.

    Yeah, I have to agree. This is another bag of burnt popcorn coming out the mouth of T.O. Taylor and Parcells has nothing to do with T.O. and T,.O. never even liked Parcells so how could anyone expect him to say something good about Parcells.

    This might be true,and this might be Parcells.Anyway they are asking for Jason Taylor to come back and play now!.I told all of you that Miami would have to swallow it's pride and have Taylor play for them this season.Jason Taylor contract to high for any other team to give what Miami wanted.Parcells was just playing his cards.Parcells knew if he could upset Taylor enough that he might walk and they would not have to pay the contract.Another way the front office does to it's employees when they don't want to pay,they force them to quit.Taylor knew this and he knew he was holding a Royal Flush.Know that Miami had no offers that they wanted.They have to swallow there pride and say they want him on the team.He is a good player that will help them out,but will carry a big salary.

    Parcells is an old bum who needs to lighten up his grip on reality. T.O. was right for ripping this guy because someone has to. Its ridiclous what he's doing to Jason Taylor and this is the N.E. way. Were suppose to bow down to the feet of Parcells and Bellicheck because they know everything about football and no one else does. Parcells is a joke and I hope the phins go 0-16.

    Regardless of the way T.O. feels about Parcells, he is right. Parcells dealt with the Taylor situation wrong. He is so busy trying to be the Alpha dog that he will end up hurting the Dolphins. Parcells needs to understand that Taylor has paid his dues and should not be given grief about pursuing an activity outside of football during the off season. I am sure that Taylor is in great shape rigth now and will be ready to play when the season begins.

    Obviously TO hasn't yet realized that the only reason reporters ask him questions he has no business commenting on - is because he just can't keep his mouth closed and they know he will say something stupid and give them something to report. It's funny that TO criticizes and calls out Parcells...... for criticizing and calling out Taylor - when in actuality, Parcells has never admitted to doing any of this. In fact, just today, Parcells spoke out and said he wants Taylor on the team. Once again, TO proves that he is not a very smart dude.

    Terribly Obnoxious doing what he does best OPENING HIS BIG MOUTH. Parcels is one of the best coaches of all time. He's also one of the best teachers. All you have to do is look at the coaches he's had under him and where they are now. And as far as teams are concerned look at where they were when he got there and where they were when he left, as well as what they did while he was there. Look at T.O. a never was, is not and never will be.

    As far as Taylor is concerned, He's more interested in what he's going to do when he's all done playing than EARNING HIS PAY AS A FOOTBALL PLAYER. Miami will be a better team with him,they can't be any worse, but you have to wondefr if this guy stays is he going to give the team 100 pecent. They may be better off without him.

Patriots are done, Chargers are overrated, Jags QB hasn't proven anything and Tony Romo is ready to do it right in the playoffs another year of experience under his belt. As far as T.O. comments WGA [profane] he's probably right,anyone 66 years old is out of touch with a lot of things that go on today, including parents. This isn't the 1986 Giants, different players, attitudes and yes money don't hate the player hate the game. If any of you were talented enough to make $9 million a year I think it would change you also, so stop the Hating and get ready for Superbowl # 6 for the BOYZ.

    parcells has been trash since 1996 he is over rated and washed up I agree with T.O (for once) who is parcells to tell taylor a proven talent what he can and can't do???? I think taylor is better off with the Miami can't wins, and if people think parcells is doing anything to help that I laugh at you....they will finish 3-13 and parcells will be fired within 3 years

    Screw Parcells? Parcells built the Cowboys and probably would have won a Super Bowl if Jerry Jones hadn't signed T.O. Parcells is not only great at buliding teams (Giants, Jets, Patriots and Dallas) but he also leaves the next coach in great shape! The Parcells way has proven to work ( 2 Super Bowls) and he doesn't need to change. Today's crybaby players are the ones who are out of touch!!!
