The National Football League does not plan to take action against Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Barnett for putting his hands on an official near the end of a 35-7 loss to the Chicago Bears on Sunday the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
In an attempt to break up a skirmish, umpire Jim Quirk grabbed a kneeling Barnett around the neck from behind with both arms and dragged him backward onto the ground. Replays showed that as Barnett tried to get up, Quirk maintained his hold, leading Barnett to use his hands to push himself away.
According to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, Barnett is not being reviewed for discipline. He indicated that Quirk was simply pulling Barnett away from a skirmish to prevent it from escalating. McCarthy said he felt Quirk was out of line and may speak to league officials later this week.

Where is your team?
Nere--nere--nere. As a packer fan, I'm thrilled Favre and family has gone this far. Anything more would simply be gravy.

"Not taking away from the bears performance, but you have to wonder if the packers laid down. Brett Favre is 38 years old and you dont want him playing in 2 degree weather."
Therefore, we get to rest everyone for 2 weeks and be healthy for our first playoff game. Then we go to Dallas where the climate is basically controlled.
Just sit back and watch.
