Cornerback Adam Jones will play in Sunday's game at Arizona. NFL officials said Friday they will not complete their investigation into an incident involving Jones until next week. The league is looking into a fight that took place Tuesday night between Jones and his bodyguard, Tommy Jones, in a hotel bathroom.

Adam Jones' playing status with the league at risk because he is coming off a one-year suspension for violations to the league's conduct policy. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he takes the league's interest in Adam Jones very seriously. Cowboys officials said they have no plans to discipline the cornerback, who was arrested six times and involved in 13 incidents with police since he was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in 2005.

"If I suspended Pacman Jones over something like this, I would have had to suspend half the team over the last 20 years," Jerry Jones said Friday morning on The Ticket.

"It's ridiculous to be having a conversation about a suspension over this matter. This was a nothing."

Jones said horseplay between Adam Jones and Tommy Jones got out of hand, which resulted in police getting called to the Joule hotel.

"I almost feel like I'm an enabler," Jerry Jones said. "Because it's the very people that I have with him that created this. Had we not had that security with him, this wouldn't have happened. Really. Had we not had the security with him, it wouldn't have happened."

Why wouldn't the Bengals take that trade? The only teams with more criminals than the Bengals are in the prison leagues.

Before you jump & say the Cowboys defense is ok without Jones, check out the injury status of Terrence Newman and check out the fact that Jones' worst game is the one that the 'Boys lost. Yeah, anyone who you need to babysit to keep out of trouble isn't worth the hastle as far as I'm concerned. But the Dallas "D" would suffer without that thug.

He is a antisocial skitzoid personality. He is probably bi-polar. He is his own worst enemy. He does not know how to act around normal people. It is a shame because he is a talented CB. He will be out of football before the end of the season and back selling drugs and doing drive-byes.

All you guys might as well quit hoping and dreaming for some discipline for Pacman. Roger Goddell and the league will not do a thing to him simply because of Jerry Jones, his money and his power. We all know that this idiot want make it the rest of the season without another incident. This is the very reason I hate the cowboys so much because of the favoritism that the league shows them. They get all the calls on Sundays, they get all the hype, yet they aren't as good as the league and the fans make them out to be. They are simply the San Antonio Spurs of the NFL... The "League Boys".

The least thing that should happen is a HUGE fine for Jerry Jones who met with Goodell after the event but did not tell Goodell about it. I would call it hiding the weeny. But of course, Jerry Jones runs the league and nothing will happen.

Right Jerry. If the security is the problem, then let him off the leash. You know he'll be out of the NFL and in jail within a month.

Quick...ID the biggest deviant Cowboy....and dont forget the owner...the biggest creep of all.Can you visualize giving those deviants such large bags of cash and then having to hire security babysitters to watch the fools ? Unbelievable and then to be so nonchalant and apologetic about it...And he said that looking into it is what ? ridiculous ? Lets see...not going to discipline the thug...now thats perfect sense and a fine exanple to the league and the country that if youre vauable you can do whatever you want. Everyone should call and want discipline. I wouldnt buy another Cowboy ticket until thats done and so should every Cowboy fan if they have any balls at all....but we know they dont. The lenague and the country need cleaned up. The Cowboys should be ashaned of theselves. Why arent any of the Boys speaking out ? Because theyre absolutely gutless...gutless. What a sport...what a country...

pacman jones is just like every other player in this league who has too much money and cant let go of party and thug life..even if he never made it to the nfl he would still be hanging out in his neighborhood on the streets doin' the same stupid stuff..once a thug always a thug..he will never be able to control himself in that kind of an atmosphere..its like putting a steak in front of a lion..he might sniff it for a second, but it wouldnt be able to say no..these players have no remorse and no accountability for their actions, and they get paid way to much to play a game that they played as a kid...i wish he would just get released, and let a canadian team sign him or something..yes,i will say i would miss his talents on the field, but even as a cowboys fan,i have to say if he was playing for some other team,i would still say the same thing..he's nothing but a high priced hooligan who cant control his actions..i got an idea jerry, just let him go play paintball once in awhile and that might satisfy his craving for wanting to be a gun toting player criminal with a deathwish..but make sure they serve alcohol at the paintball facility and have strippers,or he might not want to leave home...what a waste...

First of all...half of you on here need to get a spellcheck installed on your computer. Secondly, although I agree that my squad gets special treatment in the league, they are not the only team in pro sports with idiot players and greedy owners. If you want change, talk to the commissioner about getting some balls. As long as he allows this behavior to continue, the "deviants" will continue to play. Fine the team, suspend the owner, do whatever you have to do to enforce a no tolerance conduct policy. By the way, if you feel that strongly about pro sports players, I hope you exercise the same judgement when you listen to your favorite rock band or watch your favorite celebrity who can't stay out of jail. We watch TV or buy tickets to be entertainedwatch. Don't like it, speak up or turn the TV off.

brianb- you need to put the pipe down , go outside and get a breath of fresh air. How can you be so ignorant is a mystery. Whether I or anyone says it now or later- Thugman will end up in jail or dead as a result of his continued anti social lifestyle. Wake up and stop making ignorant noises. Your question should be- What hasn't he done?

I am an avid Cowboys fan but I think Jerry has his head up his butt. Even if a lot of player have scuffles from time to time Pacman is not every other player. He is a player who has been warned he has been given his last chance.
Jerry, use your head. Be thankful Pacman decided to blow his last chance now and not week 13. You took a chance it didn't work out. Cut your losses now. At least you get a 5th round draft pick back for him.
Its week 6 and he screwed up. I am betting by week 10 he does it again.

Brian- you are the perfect example of riding on someones d--k. What you are is a die-hard cowboy fan... No player or their owner can do any wrong. I currently live in Dallas and the fans out here are just as arrogant as the entire Dallas Cowgirl organization. They talk and brag all season long about how good the cowgirls are, but as soon as they get their azzes kicked in the first round of the playoffs, they get attitudes and don't want you to heckle them. Typical female stuff if you ask me. Also, brian- since you want to talk about grammar, I have never heard of the word "Entertainedwatched" you lil p--k... Can everyone who thinks Brian could possibly have a G-string on say Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeotch.

The truth is that nothing will come of this incident because Jerry Jones exerts full control over Roger Goodall. It will be "investigated" and dismissed as a minor incident. Unfortunately minor incident or major incident, both are a violation of the zero tolerance mandate Pacman Jones and Jerry Jones agreed to.
The NFL does need to clean up its act and if Roger G can't accomplish this, he should be replace with someone who can.
