These days, London gets one NFL game every year to stage in is Wembley Stadium. But the plan is apparently to add another next season, according to BBC News.
In fact, if it goes well enough next year, NFL UK bigwig Alistair Kirkwood is saying the league would like to have four games across the pond by 2012.
And why not? The place is jammed every time the NFL comes to the place, meaning a boatload of dollars for whatever team agrees to come on over. This weekend, the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers get their share.
Kirkwood would like to have one game at the end of September and one at the end of October next year.

STOP taking games away from hard working Americans that love their teams. It's complete BS.
I will be royally POed if my Browns ever play a home game anywhere but in Cleveland Browns Stadium. Even though we suck, we still sell out every game. There is no reason to go anywhere else to play, period.

I just don't understand the point of a NATIONAL league (which is what the NFL is) playing in an international locale... It doesn't make any sense for a regular season game.
This isn't the "international football league" its the National Football League. Meaning its nation specific.

If they are going to have more games over there the least they can do is get the teams a NFL type stadium not a soccer one...
NFL is American! Next thing we know we are going to give up apple pie to some third world country as their nation's main dish.
I like Matt's idea...you should put that in the NFL suggestion box.

Its not soccer! The only reason soccer is popular is because 3rd world countries play it. All you need is a open field and ball to kick around its simple, No rules. Thats why it will always be #1 in the world
Football is more intelligent. Its harder to understand. Last year people were booing kneel downs at the end of the game because they didn't understand it. Thats how stupid foreigners are.
You want to add something to football? How about instead of a London game. You make every team play a superbowl type game where they are both in neutral territory. Have the Chargers play the Cowboys in Dakota or some place. A place that doesn't have a football team. Cities can prepare a superbowl like welcome. Garner more attention for cities to maybe get a team unlike area's such as Jacksonville who dont care about their team. Thats what the NFL should do.

However People in the UK don't have any interest for the NFL except when it comes once every year because it's a novelty. If you start putting many games there they won't come out in droves.
Also the games have literally been crap games except the Saints. vs. Dolphins. The NFL has sent winless teams. Great way to market your sport send crap.
Soccer is the most famous sport and football wont' change it. Europeans can't understand why we like a sport in which the action on the field is in short spurts while Americans can't get a grasp on what makes soccer so interesting when many times a team plays keep away. There is no thrilling finish in Soccer. If a team is up 3-1 in the last half hour of the game you might as well turn it off. However in the NFL a team can be down 20 points in the fourth and come back to win the game on a touchdown in the final seconds.

.
I do agree these should be preseason, and not rob ticket holders of a home game. Still, American Football needs to be promoted beyond the U.S and Canada. It brings this awesome sport to the global level, and expands the scope in which potential college players can be recruited.
.
Quick idea for everyone - What about offering the Pro-Bowl to a different foreign city every year? If they'll sell out Wimbledon to see the Bucs, imagine the response to seeing our best players in one game?
