NFL - Sports Rumors

“MichaelNew Seattle Seahawks coach Jim Mora and Michael Vick(notes) were apparently good buddies when the pair were together with the Atlanta Falcons so now word is spreading that Vick could end up quarterbacking Seattle this season.

According to National Football Post, Mora actually even has an emotional attachment to Vick and wants to help him out. Maybe Mora hasn't met the members of Seattle's PETA office just yet but you can be sure that will change if Vick ends up signing with the team.

For his part, the dog-loving Vick is saying that he's pretty close to a new deal with one team or another. And you can be sure he doesn't want it to be with a team in the UFL.

I bet if people let this go, it would disappear soon enough. Vick was a great athlete, but just a serviceable quarterback. The makeup of the team made all the numbers seem better that they were. Most of his passes were to Crumpler the TE. The best that any team could hope for is to use him in their version of the wildcat, and defensed should be catching up with that any time now. His days as the face of the league are done, and if just left to fade away he will probably be done soon anyway.

I don't get the why Seattle. unless seattle can sign him dirt cheap, then he would be a good insurance policy in case hassellbeck gets injured or is not back to former self. but for vick doesn't make sense, small chance of playing, because even if hassellbeck is not on the field he has to beat out Senaca Wallace as the back -up. Senaca Wallace has come a long way the past few years, they both have quick feet, and Wallace isn't rusty. there is plenty of teams that really could use Vick, take the skins, they tried to replace their QB twice this last offseason. Jason Campbell cant be happy right now. there is SF and Denver, two teams that need a true starting QB. and any team currantly having a QB controversy. if there is qustion which should be the starter, then there is no question that neither are will be great this season and at best will only be adiquate. But if Seattle does take him, I will be curious to find out when was the last time a team had to QBs that had played in both the probowl and the NFC championship game on their roster at the same time. I am a Seahawks fan, and I wouldn't mind seeing Vick coming to Seattle to back up Hassellbeck. But I for one be mad if Vick was put in ahead of him or if they just threw him in over Wallace. Wallace has been paying his dues as the backup in seattle a long time, he has come a long way, and i think he is just about ready to become a starter, a good one at that.

If you can't get the facts right concerning the "Atlanta FALCONS" how in the world can we trust THIS rumor!? Are you sure that it's Seattle Seahawks or are we talking about Philadelphia Eagles? After all...the are both from from the "BIRD" family, too right??? What difference would it make?????????????? So how about this, stick to the facts and leave the cheap jokes to Letterman!

Jason Campbell is not a bad QB...he is still young and if the Skins ever give him a decent O-line you may just get that rivalry sparked again..besides Zorn already said it wasnt happening...

Any team that doesnt have a solid QB is stupid for not picking him up. I dont care what you think, as soon as the guy steps on a feild he is an immediate threat. Its not like he is a loud mouth cocky guy with a bad attitude he just made the mistake of not getting rid of his thuggish street life when he had a professional job..
