NFL - Sports Rumors

“KevinIt's looking like Detroit Lions running back Kevin Smith(notes) and wide receiver Calvin Johnson(notes) will be both back in the lineup on Sunday when the woeful 1-6 Lions take on the Seattle Seahawks, according to the Detroit News.

Coach Jim Schwartz isn't showing his cards on that front, though. He is saying that both of these players are game-time decisions on Sunday. However, Smith had a full practice yesterday, taking plenty of reps with the first team, after skipping the pervious day's because of the shoulder injury he earned last Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

And Johnson apparently looked good in practice after missing a few weeks due to a right knee injury. "We are just going to keep on taking it like we are," Johnson said. "We are going to be careful, do what I can do, and as long as I don't have any setbacks, things look brighter for Sunday."

There is a reason Dunn's not playing. He's got nothing left.
Morris over Smith? Smith's by far the better back.
Smith skipped the pervious days workout. Pervious? Proof read!

the only reason the ram one that game was because calvin was out they don't have a corner that could have covered him I won't make that an excuse but I truly belive with all are starters we would have won. Just sayin seahawks fans your not that great of a team don't underestimate us

Profiler - I agree .... .Except I don't think one beat-up young receiver is enough this time. If we played in Motor City, you guys would have a real shot at thrashing the Hawks. Should be a good game, if you don't mind watching two injury-riddled mediocre-to-bad teams flailing about. I like games like this - not as predictable as I would like, which is fun to watch. I like the Loins- always have (though Scott Mitchell chased me away for awhile) and I will continue to root for your perennial-underdog team. Stafford is going to be a great one. You guys will get there. See ya in the 2013 NFC Championship game!

The Profiler why are you talking about the Rams game it's over get past it . As for Calvin he has not done anything this year, Everyone talks about him at practice he did this he did that show us that in a game he needs to live up to his hype. Kevin smith talked about getting his head back to football in the bye week then comes out and runs the same way he has from the first day as a pro and that is doing nothing . The Lions need to Keep looking for any talent that is better then what they have now, If guys don't show up on game day and earn there pay then get rid of them and sign someone who is going to give 110 percent all the time.

please people open your eyes in the Rams game,it would have taken only one or two catches from C J down near the end zone that were dropped by the other receivers for the Lions win.ot did' nt happen but watch out this week.C J will prove that the Lions are alot better with him in.

I'm a Seattle fan, but seriously, the Lions should win this game, simply because Seattle is playing with mostly 2nd and 3rd string players cause they've been plagued with injury. If they get their RB back, and a reciever back, they should have a chance after all. (Its not like the Seahawks have been good since their entire offensive line has been changed)
And whoever says Smith is the worst starting RB.. he cant be. Larry Johnson holds that title. Smith has a touchdown and over 3.0 YPC.. LJ has a whopping 2.7, 2 fumbles, and 0 TD's.
