The Kansas City Chiefs aren't happy with running back Larry Johnson(notes) and it may result with him getting kicked of the team, according to the Kansas City Star.
Johnson raised some eyebrows when he used a slue against homosexuals while talking to reporters and made extreme fun of his head coach, Todd Haley. So the team suspended him for two weeks, which means that he'll miss the next Chiefs game on Nov. 8. The word is, though, that Johnson's agent is working with the team to appeal the suspension as well as a settlement on whether Johnson stays with the team or not.
"Full bore on both," said the agent, Peter Schaffer, who later told the paper, "Larry Johnson is a member of the Chiefs right now."
It's not like his misbehavior is anything new. Johnson has been arrested four times since 2003 for one assault charge or another against women and is currently serving two years of probation.
Doesn't sound like he will be for much longer, although Schaffer also said that the settlement would "not necessarily" lead to Johnson's dismissal.

WTF is a "slue"??? I haven't a clue....
Maybe it's some kind of new sex toy Mark J. Miller uses on his boyfriend.
It certainly isn't some kind of proofreading software....
"Johnson raised some eyebrows when he used a slue against homosexuals while talking to reporters and made extreme fun of his head coach, Todd Haley. So the team suspended him for two weeks..."
Gee, now why do I get the "funny feeling" it wasn't the "slue", but dissing management's choice of a new coach that got Johnson suspended???
Or maybe it's Miller's "slue" giving me the funny feeling.... and an "extreme fun" it is, too.....I slue, don't you???

I say don't cut him. Let him ride pine the rest of the year and then cut him January.....or better yet, see if we can get a seventh rounder for him....not likely, but it would be nice to get something....

They are negotiating a settlement with him; which will include his return to the team. It's because they are getting a negative reaction in the locker room. But more importantly, the free agent market to be are looking at Todd Haley as a guy you wouldn't want to play for. That's what at stake here. Not LJ, but Scott Peioli and Todd Haley's future career. If he were to Keyshawned him or take money from him, that the rest of the players in the NFL don't see as fair; you can kiss Haley's career as head coach good bye.
this, at this point, has nothing to do with LJ. Peioli and Haley are taking the pulse of players and it not favorable. Regardless of what settlement that come from this. I think that Haley is through, because players will shy away from him on two levels. He overreacted to this LJ thing. And two, his zeal for hurting LJ in the pocket. I bet their saying. they wouldn't play for KC as long as Haley is there.

How does this clown Miller keep from being shown the door?? Is he hacking into the Yahoo Sports web site and they can't figure out how to stop him? People talk about how bad MJD is, but Miller holds the trophy for incompetence. What an insult to Yahoo readers. (Right you are, post #12!)
