Pacman Jones

Jerry Jones said Thursday that he would welcome Adam Jones back to the fold, assuming that he completes his off-the-field requirements and gets reinstated by Roger Goodell. The Dallas Morning News asked: If you're the Cowboys, do you really want him back?

All the Mike Jenkins haters out there probably would welcome back another corner that could push Jenkins down the depth chart. And you can't say for certain that Terence Newman will make it through the rest of the year healthy.

But let's say the Cowboys win in Washington this week and move to 6-4. In that case, the team would be back on the uptick. Then, let's assume the Cowboys beat San Francisco and Seattle and stand at 8-4. Do you want those good vibes set aside just to bring Jones back into the fold?

Really, what kind of shape could he be in after spending a month in rehab? How much could he really contribute? Honestly?

If these Cowboys get hot, I'm guessing the defensive coaches would rather go with what they've got than take on another player and screw up the team's current chemistry.

I love how Adam Jones said he doesn't want the nickname Pacman anymore, but yet the media can't help but call him that.
But on the subject, yes the Cowboys need him. Their defense is falling apart. Jones is a great corner/return man with some off-field issues. But c'mon... it's almost natural for an NFL player to have an off-field issue at least once in their career.

And as if Yahoo was reading my comments in the Jerry Jones rumor, here is the Pacman angle. Shockingly predictable.

It's all fine and dany if the Cowboys bring him back but what if he is eaten by the pink ghost while trying to eat the bouncing cherries? or the blue ghost? I mean those ghosts get faster and smarter each new level...can the Cowboys afford to get him back in the defensive mix just to lose him again?

PacMan is a damn good player, but is also a dumb thug that likes to get in to trouble... and NO!! the cowboys don't need him whatamellon....the only thing they need is romo back to full health, and they will be OK.....Brad Johnson sucks just admit it....

are u kidding? this guy is OVERRATED!
not to mention a THUG in every sense of the term.. he has gotten every chance possible to continue to make millions while playing a GAME.. and he to get keeps screwing up
saying that its natural for NFL players to get into trouble with the law is like saying all black guys do the same... simply uninformed and ignorant...
there are TONS of NFL players who are an attestment to their families and areas that they live in
don't let him back... Cowboys will be better off without him.

Pacman is far from a damn good player, HE SUCKS!!!! He's always getting burned on the field and getting in trouble off the field. Jerry Jones is dumb a$$ and the cowbys will continue to suck when Romo comes back. Romo's not going to help the putrid defense. The boys are in the best division in the NFL and just don't have a chance, so buy some more overpaid idiots in the offseason and turn into the Yankees of the NFL.

I don't know if he's any good and don't care. I hate the cowboys. Enjoy my post. I just wasted a few seconds of your life that you'll never get back. Multiply that by the number of Dallas fans with no lives that will respond here and that's some significant time that Cowboys fans won't get back. I win.
    Go Steelers!!

Maybe the Cowboys should just draft a ballhawk CB in the 2009 draft instead of trying to retread NFL trash like Adam

I really don't think a small scuffle in a toilet qualifies as getting suspended and I don't think JJ does either. He hasn't been in the news since so I say let him back.

Why do people who make SOOOO much money refuse to comply with the requirements and standards associated with the paycheck? If given that kind of opportunity, I would make SURE that my status is protected from ANY behavior that could void my paycheck! What is WITH these dudes like Pacman, Mike Vick, Ricky Williams, and other STUPID players who think a multi-million deal makes them above the LAW? Maybe Rae Carruth has answers.....

Lets be honest, football is a league of thugs. IF he gets reinstated, the Cowboys should drop him on the depth chart and prohibit any media contact after the initial press conference. Let him workout with the second team against T.O or Roy to push him back into game shape.

PacRat did not help the team before his latest suspension, and he won't help coming back. What he did do is play a major role in helping diddlemaster JeJo turn the team into the Cowholes. JeJo should just go to bed with PacRat and get it over with. Football strategy is a very poor disguise for his obvious sexual tension.

#14~No Max...you lose. It took you at least twice as long to post that as it does for anyone to read it. You wasted more of your time on something you admittedly already hate as opposed to Cowboy fans who love reading and posting about their team. And, if you read any following comments or post any further comments then you have multiplied that waste factor exponentially. Nive job on proving that you are a hater AND a loser. That's quite an accomplishment in seven short lines. Congrats.

#15 Wes W - That would be a fantastic idea!
It's just...too bad Jerry traded away all the draft picks for Roy E.
But boy! What a difference maker he has been!
Babyface Finster - Please don't put Rick Williams in the same category as thugs like Vick and Jones. Ricky made a conscious decision that he would rather chill in the Canadian Football League while smokin' some dank nugget for a few years. He didn't beat on anyone or make some dogs maul each other.
