Jerry Jones said Thursday that he would welcome Adam Jones back to the fold, assuming that he completes his off-the-field requirements and gets reinstated by Roger Goodell. The Dallas Morning News asked: If you're the Cowboys, do you really want him back?
All the Mike Jenkins haters out there probably would welcome back another corner that could push Jenkins down the depth chart. And you can't say for certain that Terence Newman will make it through the rest of the year healthy.
But let's say the Cowboys win in Washington this week and move to 6-4. In that case, the team would be back on the uptick. Then, let's assume the Cowboys beat San Francisco and Seattle and stand at 8-4. Do you want those good vibes set aside just to bring Jones back into the fold?
Really, what kind of shape could he be in after spending a month in rehab? How much could he really contribute? Honestly?
If these Cowboys get hot, I'm guessing the defensive coaches would rather go with what they've got than take on another player and screw up the team's current chemistry.

But on the subject, yes the Cowboys need him. Their defense is falling apart. Jones is a great corner/return man with some off-field issues. But c'mon... it's almost natural for an NFL player to have an off-field issue at least once in their career.

not to mention a THUG in every sense of the term.. he has gotten every chance possible to continue to make millions while playing a GAME.. and he to get keeps screwing up
saying that its natural for NFL players to get into trouble with the law is like saying all black guys do the same... simply uninformed and ignorant...
there are TONS of NFL players who are an attestment to their families and areas that they live in
don't let him back... Cowboys will be better off without him.

It's just...too bad Jerry traded away all the draft picks for Roy E.
But boy! What a difference maker he has been!
Babyface Finster - Please don't put Rick Williams in the same category as thugs like Vick and Jones. Ricky made a conscious decision that he would rather chill in the Canadian Football League while smokin' some dank nugget for a few years. He didn't beat on anyone or make some dogs maul each other.
