NFL - Scoop Du Jour

It's looking like New York Jets cornerback Lito Sheppard(notes) shouldn't be planning on how to spend that $10 million roster bonus he would have coming to him in March if he was still on the team. The word is that he won't be and there will be no payout, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

The paper is reporting that the Jets will lose two other members of the secondary as well: safety Kerry Rhodes(notes) and cornerback Donald Strickland(notes).

Sheppard was injured all season and pulled in only one interception in the 11 games he played this season. He pretty much rode the pine during the AFC Championship loss last weekend.

The injury-prone Strickland will likely get released.
