Jets have no interest in Rams' Holt

While there was speculation earlier this week the New York Jets might look at St. Louis Rams wide receiver Torry Holt, a source told the New York Daily News Tuesday the Jets have no interest in the veteran receiver, who has asked to be released by the Rams.

While the Jets have only one proven wide receiver — Jerricho Cotchery — the team believes strongly in the abilities of Chansi Stuckey and David Clowney, according to the Daily News.

The Jets were perceived to have an edge in obtaining Holt because his former position coach in St. Louis, Henry Ellard, is now with the Jets. The report indicated Holt's declining productivity and questions about the health of his knees may be why the Jets aren't interested.

Maybe Favre will come back. Ryan remember when you won the SB with arguably the greatest defense of all time. Lets get real Jets D is improved but not even close. As for Scott he will be exposed without Lewis. So lets stop drinking the green kool aid and until this team produces tone it down

That would be two Buckeys recievers and a Miami of Ohio QB. how ironic for the cleveland fans. maybe they should draft some of there own. Harrison is from Kent state.

Bart Scott will be the next Ed Hartwell...they played great, but playing with greats is what made them. Without Lewis, Reed, Boulware (at the time) and Suggs, these guys aren't anything.

Jets aren't interested? Why would they be? They have no reason for a vet receiver who probably wants to win this coming season, which unless Clemons turns out to be pretty good, are not gonna do.
Holt is coming to NY however.........
