NFL - Sports Rumors

T.J. Houshmandzadeh has guaranteed victory, well, sort of anyway. What the wide receiver of the Cincinnati Bengals guaranteed was his team wouldn't lose all 16 games. So Houshmandzadeh predicts victory ... at some point.

"If the season ends and we don't win a game," Houshmandzadeh said, per Adam Schefter of NFL Network. "I will walk from my house to the NFL Network studios."

According to Schefter, Houshmandzadeh was referring to his house in Cerritos, California, 27 miles from the NFL Network studios in Culver City, and not his in-season home in Cincinnati. So that walk is doable, although he would have to do most of it along the 405 Freeway. (Of course, given the traffic on the 405, Houshmandzadeh could probably walk that trip faster than he could drive it.)

Houshmandzadeh also said that 0-16 hadn't occurred to him.
"I never thought about if we will go 0-16," he said. "It never crossed my mind until you said it and asked me the question."

The Bengals are eight-point underdogs Sunday against the Jaguars and will likely be underdogs in each game until the season finale, at home against the Chiefs.

Umm, T.J.? Will you be making that walk in sneakers or cleats?

Time to get rid of Marvin. Why not make it a 4th NFL coach to lose a job mid-season?

Bengals should have kept rudie johnson cause there running game is terrible and with fitzpatrick at QB hard to rely on the passing game Chad Johnson and Houshmandzadeh are both very good recievers but with no one to throw to them its hard to do much i think bengals if palmer comes back this year could finish decent with fitzpatrick at QB id be surprised to see them win one game

The Bungals are a bunch p\/ssies who like to talk and mug for the camera rather than go out and play and punch a team in the mouth. Marvin is dead man walking, except that with owner Mike Brown won't flip the switch because it will cost him money to eat Marvin's contract. Therefore, unless Marvin resigns, look for more of the same next year (only the player names will change). Knowing the Bungals and their miserable fans, not finishing with a winless season would be a moral victory - and no one can appreciate a moral victory like the Bungals and their fans!!!

Number 18....The Steelosers are a bunch of classless dirty playing cheats.......Hines Ward blind side block on Keith Rivers was just plain cruel.....ol Rooney must of paid the refs off so they wouldn't flag Hines or fine Hines.....Kimo Von Olhoffen going for the knees of Carson Palmer (the Bengals only good season).....dirty playing has been the history of the Steelosers.....
The Bengals lack a consistent D and a special teams unit that can pick up good field position....offensively it all depends on the health of Carson Palmer and the attitudes of TJ and Ocho....The running game has sucked greatly......there's no other options than TJ and Ocho......maybe they could use Utecht or an RB more.....

Whats wrong with Cincinnati fans? The Nati supports their teams no matter what. Mike Brown needs to step down! Pissburgh isn't all that either. Who was it that just got caught with dope? THUGS!

One of the few players on the team with a backbone.....Marvin has lost the team and Mike Brown is squandering what little is left of the goodwill his father built in Cincy. Atleast TJ has some guts to say this. The Bengals should have traded Chad before the start of the season. I don't think it will matter where the Bengals will draft as they have so many holes, anyone could help. O-line, D-line, RB, WR, etc......the have been a poorly run team with very little luck.....and the injury bug keeps hitting. It's time to blow up the team, for the most part, and start again.
