When San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree(notes) ended his ridiculous holdout a few weeks ago, the word from the team was that they would be working him slowly, getting him to memorize the third-down and end-zone packages and growing from there.
But the word now is that Crabtree could be starting this week, according to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. Coach Mike Singletary says it's a "strong possibility," so it sounds pretty likely.
This means split end Josh Morgan(notes), the Niners' second-leading receiver, will probably be out of the starting lineup. And you can bet Morgan isn't happy about this rookie taking his slot.
