Before the Minnesota Vikings lost to the New York Jets 29-20 Monday night, Brett Favre(notes) apologized to his teammates for being a distraction to the team, according to a source of the Associated Press.
Favre has brought some unwanted attention to himself and the Vikings for "racy texts" that he allegedly sent to a "Jets game hostess," the AP reports.
The NFL is investigating the allegations, and Favre apparently feels bad about them. His team is 1-3 and sits in third place in the NFC North.
The AP's source says that the 41-year-old Favre spoke to his teammates while they were all getting ready for Monday Night's game.
After the game, the AP notes, Favre spent about 20 minutes "evading questions the same way he tried to avoid tacklers" during the game.
