Atlanta Falcons officials are scheduled to interview Green Bay Packers director of pro personnel Reggie McKenzie in Green Bay for its general manager job Wednesday and/or Thursday, according to a person with knowledge of the meetings, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported

Falcons owner Arthur Blank and president/general manager Rich McKay are handling the interviews. Blank wants to hire someone to supplant McKay as general manager so McKay, who has held the dual titles since 2003, can focus on the business operations of the team.

McKenzie is believed to be among the first candidates to be interviewed. The search will be extensive, Blank said after making the decision to augment McKay's duties. The Falcons also are conducting a coaching search to replace Bobby Petrino.

i think the falcons will do well if they along with the new orleans saints learn to spend more money and get more talent into thier squads.

Lifelong Packer fan and season ticket holder. This would be a huge success for Atlanta if they can get Reggie. He is a great man who knows football talent inside and out. Would be happy for Reggie but it would be a big loss for Green Bay

I'm still not sure that Green Bay's upper management didn't just get really lucky this year with a 13-3 team.
Had Ryan Grant not emerged out of "thin-air" to be a solid running back and had Brett Favre decided not to play this year, the Packers could have easily been one of the the worst teams in the league instead of one of the best.

I guess that makes the Pats lucky too. Just imagine what would have happened to them if Brady didn't make it through the year.

FROM MN NOT! if he/she where they would have just said GB won't win because they s_ck:-).
I would say that ALT could do worse picking off someone from Green Bay. They have a good Org and seem to get the right guy's at the right time. I disagree with you that Ryan Grant came out of thin air as I said GB seems to get the right guy's at the right time.
Now if we could just get Ron Wolf the VIkes would be a better team:-). See ya next year Cheeseheads.
P.S. please beat Dallass cause they really SUC*

The Packers are lucky?....that's what it takes at the end of the game sometimes. Otherwise NEP would be 14-2. Last year, luck and breaks is what carried the Bears. Review some tape, you will see how an officials call here or there (even after review) can complete change the situation in a game. I can easily think of 15 key calls that changed the outcome of the game, it takes a bit of luck sometimes to be the one on top. Isn't that how the Patriots got the playoff win that year that Brady fumbled the ball and they called it a passing motion, now referred to "the Tom Brady Rule." They went on to win the Super Bowl. Atlanta would be happy to get Reggie!

Please don't go crying for poor Atlanta. I became a Falcons fans back when Peachtree Bartkowski was QB long before Favre was a backup there, and I don't feel sorry for Arthur Blank. He is getting just what he deserves for firing the best coach the team ever had, Dan Reeves.
And for all you Mike Vick haters, grow up, wake up and wise up. Vick never cheated at football. What he did was stupid, but it was not related in any way to the NFL. Bill Bellicheat completely disrespected the game, the league, the fans and all the people who have played and loved the game for so long. That cheating ^%^%&&^ should have been banned from the league and coaching indefinitely. His fine of $500k was more than made back in incentive bonuses for going 16 and 0. Hey kids, cheaters do prosper.

And for all of you Mike Vick haters, grow up, wake up and wise up. Vick never cheated at football. His stupidity was completely unrelated to the NFL. On the other hand, Bill Bellicheat absolutely disrespected the game, the fans, the players and the league in the worst way. His $500k fine was more than made up for in incentive bonuses by the team going 16 and 0.
