Kyle Boller, who played at Cal, could be returning to the West Coast. According to the Contra Costa Times, Boller recently visited the head quarters of the Oakland Raiders.
Boller was the second reserve-type quarterback to visit Oakland. Charlie Frye was in town recently.
Boller spent last year on the injured reserve list of the Baltimore Ravens. He started the preseason opener but hurt his shoulder in a later preseason game against Minnesota. His days were numbered the moment the Ravens drafted Joe Flacco out of Delaware.
In 53 career games (with 42 starts) Boller has completed 56.9 percent of his passes for 7,846 yards, 45 touchdown passes and 44 interceptions.
