New York Jets defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson, a No. 4 overall pick in 2003, visited the Philadelphia Eagles and took a physical, according to two league sources the Delaware County Times reported.

The Eagles can't comment on Robertson, who is still property of the Jets but became trade bait when New York switched to a 3-4 defensive alignment this off-season and signed Kris Jenkins to play nose tackle. Robertson was also in conversations with at least four other teams, said one source, who couldn't confirm if the Eagles had made an offer to the Jets.

The Eagles have 11 picks in the draft, which starts next Saturday, and could pick up more if they deal cornerback Lito Sheppard. The Denver Broncos are also reportedly interested in Robertson.

not really they are pretty deep at DT, plus we have a ton of young defensive lineman, why waste draft picks?

Brett, this is a really weak draft for WRs. None of them are going to make an immediate impact. Cutting a premier QB at the end of the season instead of trading him to a team looking for one is assinine. Think about stuff before you spout it off. You'll make more friends.

what purpose does this guy serve on the eagels???? i mean im a pats fan but i seen this guy play twice a year since he was drafted and he has shown nothing but that he was a waste of a 4th pick in the 1st round....Till the guy slims down a little gains a little athleticism he is nothing more than a backup DT in my eyes

IMHO, this guy is a coach-killer, the kind of player who never plays up to his "potential".

What Philly should do is deal Sheppard, even though it hurts my heart, for Chad Johnson. I agree that the WR in the draft will be weak. And the Eagles are pretty much set on the defensive line, even with the loss of Kearse. They need players that can make a major impact like Sheppard just on offense. They already have the secondary replacement in Samuel. The draft is just for insurance. Get the rookies and train them up. Dont give up picks that could be valuable in the long run. The greats aren't always drafted first or second.

The way I sse it, the d line is fine. We need a WR, SS, or an ofensive tackle. I know everyone hates it when we draft big guys on the first day of the draft, but if you want a good passing attack, you need good guys up front.
