NFL - Sports Rumors

“JoshYou gotta think Denver Broncos Josh McDaniels was second-guessing himself after his team got trashed 32-3 by the San Diego Chargers yesterday, particularly for one incident that supposedly occurred before the game even got started, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

When McDaniels was walking past the Chargers' linebackers before the game, he supposedly said, "We own you." And that didn't sit very well with the folks in San Diego, as you can imagine.

Outside linebacker Shaun Phillips(notes) told the paper, "I'm not surprised. He's a little cocky (rear end)... To say he owns us? I mean, you beat us one time. What has he really done in this league? He had a team 6-0 and now he's looking up at us from second place."

After the game, McDaniels had the response of a six-year-old when asked about the incident: "(They) talked to me first."

Shut up and try to coach McD. The honeymoon is over. You've got the Giants in 3 days, so you'd better come up with something quick.

Its that giant sucking sound of the Bronchoes going down down down the drain.
Blowing a 6-0 start is epic. Suckers.

Epic?? Like it has never happened before?? Should research such a strong statement before you hit submit. Just saying.
The Broncos better find the game they had in the begining of the season or this is going to be a lousy rest of the season.
As far as going down the drain.. Really?? With 8 games left the hope for a good season is over??
OK.. if that gets you through the day I guess.

Actually blowing a 3.5 game lead IS epic. I don't think that's happened before...
And 8 games left? Nice math. Try six, since I know you aren't counting playoff games!

McD- your time starts now! Lets see if you can get these chargers to the playoffs or to the comforts of a warm fireplace in january to watch the playoffs. Bellichick never talks trash of his opponents even if they are searching for their first win. He finds something that they are doing well to praise.

So I have narrowed it down to either A) Peyton Hillis ran over McD's dog, or
    B) McD came home and caught his wife in the shower with Hillis.
Those have to be the reasons Hillis isn't playing and NoShow Moreno is. I have a feeling Hillis might be wearing KC red or maybe even black and silver next year and taking out his frustrations on McD twice a year.

If only the dolts could do that in the playoffs, now that would be something, after all it's been 40 years and counting...

Look at the source, the SD Union. "He supposedly said".
They should give up sports writing and try a gossip column.

To be honest, I'm impressed with the job McDaniels is done. Even if they do not make the playoffs. I expected this team to go 4-12, 6-10 at best coming into the season. When you see Kyle Orton at QB, a rookie RB, a prima-donna star WR, and a defense with an aging secondary you don't think playoffs.
McDaniels has a great offensive system, Nolan always runs a solid defense, they have a few stars in the making in the trenches with Dumervil, Clady, and Ryan Harris, a franchise RB in Moreno, and if he stays happy a superstar WR in Marshall. Upgrade at the QB position, get that guy of the future, a FS and a CB since Dawkins and Bailey are getting on in years, and a few other key players and youre looking at a super bowl contender.
Imagining what McDaniels offense could be with a REAL QB should scare alot of people. Orton is a game manager, with no potential, Cutler was a gunslinger with no sense of what was going on with the defense. What McDaniels needs is his Matt Ryan, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, or Tom Brady, I know these guys arent a dime a dozen but surely they can do better than Orton.
Maybe they can make a run this year, maybe not, but either way don't count McDaniels out for talking some trash, it happens. Fact is he is one of the first young coaching hires (Other being Tomlin) who actually seems ready to lead a team to greatness.
Insult him all you want, but prepare to eat your words when you see what this guy is capable of.

Donkeys suck ! JMac is a douche.... and once again the chargers own the AFC West !
    Raiders beat Bengals

As a coach and team leader McD should have a little more poise and not be sucked into the schoolyard banter that players yap. Its all in good fun, but the coach should have a mature approach and not be a whiny mommas boy. The season aint over and anything can happen.
